DailyDirt: Save Yourself From The Zombies, If You Can...

from the urls-we-dig-up dept

If you're looking forward to Halloween, it's coming up in a couple days -- and there will probably be plenty of zombies roaming around your front lawn (if you have a front lawn). Just give them some candy when they come to your door, and they'll go away. If they keep coming back, start handing out rolls of pennies, maybe? Here are a few zombie-related links to help you prepare for this Wednesday. If you'd like to read more awesome and interesting stuff, check out this unrelated (but not entirely random!) Techdirt post.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    Zombies

Any driver (even you asshats on hands-free) who's busy yakking on the phone is a zombie, and unlike the Halloween variety, cage-dialer zombies are with use every day. :(

i think its interesting that the armed forces are having exercises to train them what to do when facing a zombie apocalypse.

Could it be that zombies would represent unarmed masses of normal citizens rioting against government forces who are oppressing them in some manner?

If you want to see real zombies in action, go to any Costco, especially on days when they're giving out free samples. The amount of zombies who stop their carts in the middle of the aisle and stand there chowing down on whatever is being offered, is mind-boggling.

While on the Topic of Zombies

Maybe the people that play with these zombie toys are themselves zombies.
