Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    audio specs?

Are there any published specifications for this speaker? Just the usual things like sensitivity, frequency range, wattage, etc., that one might expect to find listed on a $150 speaker?

    Re: audio specs?

I've had two of these, and the speakers are incredible. They are rugged, loud as hell, waterproof, and... THEY PLAY STEREO WIRELESSLY! Also, they are the only speaker I know of that gets regular firmware updates. They are always improving. The specs are here:

I don't see the specs you specifically mentioned, but then again, I've never seen them on any portable speaker, so I don't think of them as "usual". This is not the audiophile market. This is the go have fun with and bring your music with you market. This speaker has excellent sound, but the main selling points are what I mentioned above.

You will not be disappointed. Everyone I meet that hears them is jealous.

    HTH,

    Pleas fix your titles

Dear Techdirt, please place appropriate titles and/or clarifying comments in the article.

Over the last couple of weeks there have been a few (physical) goods that I have been interested in.

I've clicked on the link, added to cart, then gone to checkout and get the message: "Unfortunately, some of your items are not shippable to .... We've updated your total."

Blatting the contents of my cart.

Could you please specify in the 'daily deal' heading and/or text that there are severe restrictions on these specific deals and if you aren't in the US, don't bother.
