It's time for another great VPN deal. If you're not using a VPN and don't know why you'd want to, check out this post from 2013. Basically, if you want to be anonymous on the internet, you should use a VPN service. Get a 2-year subscription for Private Internet Access VPN service for just $59.95 and start browsing anonymously. Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    US based

I wouldn't trust a VPN who is based in the US or any of the 14 eyes countries.

    Not a good vpn.

far from the worst... but not worthy of consideration for several reasons. PPTP= long known to be completely broken. No vpn serious about protecting privacy would offer this.

I repeat; they *offer* PPTP connections.

Would you buy a car from a manufacturer that offered an option for severely defective tires? -would you think that company cared about customer safety, because not all their tire options where defective?

...if only vpn's where held to such standards.

I run source compiled Arch linux and host my (non-pia) VPN client on a foss flashed router- I know a bit a about tech...

    Netflix Compatible

I have had experience with most of the VPN providers on this list, http://vpnranked.com , but Nord is the only one that continues to work with Netflix flawlessly.
