Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    Analog Options?

    A request
If you come across something like this that plugs into the headphone jack of a television so I could hear the TV without waking up the household, would appreciate hearing about it.

    Re: Analog Options?

I've got a couple of bluetooth devices that transmit from a headphone socket to paired bluetooth receivers. They're battery powered but charge from USB, which most TVs have these days, so there's very little additional wiring annoyance.
Bluetooth headsets seem to have far more than their fair share of high-pitched squealing and whistling noises from radio interference, but the convenience of no longer being tethered to the TV (or whatever else) is much appreciated.

    headphones

It is really important to use a fine quality and safe headphones or earphones piece. Loud noises are generally thought of as the most dangerous threat to one's hearing. People are tending to deal with some hearing-related trouble that comes with listening to music blasted into one's ears every day. Thus it is necessary to take care of all the safe specifications while choosing an earphone or headphone for yourself. Try out for some research over the Internet to get the best product from some trustworthy useful resource. There are many important things to look for in a pair of headphones/earphones, depending upon the preferences for portability, shape, and sound vary as well.
