Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    No Sale

When will webmasters learn? If you obscure the entire page with an uninvited, unexpected, popover, modal dialog, lots of people will simply close the page.

    don't bother

no generic openvpn file (you need to use their app)
connection on ALL server is basically non existant.

you will be able to load the first webpage or two, then speed drop to ~1/4 the speed of 56k modem or simply times out.

Will you be able to get ip in different country ? Yes.
connect to those vpn server ? Yes.
    Use them? No.

This service simply is a scam, don't believe me? Buy it and see for yourself.

Fast VPN launched by CERN guys

New VPN not blocked by NETFLIX from former CERN and MIT scientists and makers of ProtonMail has just been launched.
You get unlimited free plan for minimum usage, swiss based, no logs, secure core infrastructure. If you pay for it you get really nice speeds. This review proves it:

Great article! Have you thought about giving Atlas VPN a look? I've been using Atlas VPN (Free) for few weeks now and I'm really satisfied with everything. Though there are limitations (app is only on mobile devices) and speed throttling on the free version, it's still cool. It is the best VPN for me.
