News.com is running an article talking about how teams of employees may defect from one company to another, and how this is an increasingly common scenario. The article does a pretty good job of covering both the up and downsides to such hirings. I think it's interesting, and it makes sense, but it also can create problems that are tougher to deal with. I think it's probably become more common partly due to the emphasis on moving quickly, but on the downside it can often let a bad seed into your company without carefully thinking about it. I also think the potential for lawsuits from the company that everyone is departing is an issue...Thank you for reading this Techdirt post.
