More Free Unified Messaging

With the release of Onebox this week, jfax starting to offer free voicemail, and comfax's MessageClick going live a week or so back, I think it's official: free unified messaging is the in thing this month. The latest entrant is Excite@Home, who is working with General Magic, to provide their version of the service. Just like free calendaring was the big thing a few months ago, I'm willing to bet some of the players are going to start getting bought up here. I'll admit, it's a little different in that the players aren't just small startups any more, so maybe the end results will be different, but it certainly looks similar.
