Excite Gets Bluemountainarts

Well, it was rumored last week, and now it's come true. Excite@Home is buying Bluemountaintarts.com for $780 million. That's a little less than the rumored $1 billion, but still insanely high for a company that doesn't have much of a revenue model. I'll admit, they do have eyeballs, but they've built their image to be pretty much commercial-free, so it's not clear how much you can do with that traffic.
