AOL buys Tegic

AOL has bought Tegic Communications, a maker of text entry software for telephone keypads. This is part of AOL's "AOL Anywhere" strategy. Does this mean that AOL will start selling mobile phones? I can just see people using their phones to access AOL's chat rooms, pecking away at their keypads.
