IBM's new 'Gene'

IBM today announced the latest stage in it's goal to build "Gene", a super computer that will be 1,000 times more powerful than Big Blue. This marvel of computer engineering will be used to work out protein folding patterns, which is the holy grail of current day biotechnology. Once we can predict protein folding, a whole new range of medicines can be produced to treat virtually all human diseases.Thank you for reading this Techdirt post.
