Canadian TV Station Looks Like Portal

Apparently a Canadian TV station has set themselves up to look like a web portal. It has different boxes with news, sports, and weather, and is doing rather well. I guess it's not a bad idea, though I still wonder why folks don't just go online and use an actual portal.
