I am getting increasingly worried that the opposition to SOPA/PIPA will end up causing more harm than good.
I sense that they really felt they could push these through mostly unnoticed because it was just before the Christmas break. Having failed I can see future editions of these bills appearing the week before the break instead of the month before.
They are learning that the longer these types of bills are exposed to the light the louder the opposition gets, I don't expect them to make that mistake again.
He doesn't read.
1: It takes too long.
2: He would have to clean the spittle off the c=screen to see it.
3: That takes too long.
4: Since he has not been able to comprehend anything he read after the second grade, he would have to find someone he can trust to explain it to him.
5: That would take too long.
Is anyone else wondering how it is that FedFlix got their design past the lawyers over at Netflix?
1: McMinnville, Oregon. The only reason to go there is because you are visiting someone in the nearby prison.
2: The small local business I have worked for list their number one problem as getting people into the business. They all feel that once someone is in the business our trained employees and management team will convert them into a customer. They would love Amazon or anyone else to send people to them because they have confidence in the ability to "close the sale".
Grasping at straws to defend a liar hurts your credibility.
The story uses United Nations figures a fairly well established organization. Dodd said the entire industries were gone. If just one of the three counties is still making even one movie a year he lied.
Clearly Dodd is a liar, probably an idiot too for making such a ridiculous and easily disprovable statement, but bare minimum a liar.
"They may as well just host TPB on their corporate servers... at least they could sell adds or something and make a little money or something instead of just pissing it away ...."
Are you kidding? If they did that they wouldn't have evil pirates to blame for their failure.

The way you paint it they don't even need to sell product just put the product online and split the millions from advertising with Google.

I think that if all 100 senators did nothing things would be much better. (I realize that is an oversimplification but I think my point is clear)
Every time one of them "does something" it creates more problems than it was supposed to fix.
