Re: Re: Duff McKagan, the founding bassist for Guns N' Roses.
Only 30 minutes late. Wow he HAS cleaned up HIS act. NOT. over 3 hour sets - someone please kill me now. Because Chinee Democracy is such, I mean SUCH a great album.
I AM a hardware geek. I have 3 Macbook pro's (2- 17 inch dual core i7's, and an old 15 inch dual core duo, an HP-XW6200,6400,XXXX and the last one escapes me right now. An HP8440p/6930p(wife), IBM T40, 42, & 43, Motion Computing M1200 tablet, A custom built gaming rig, a Dell Inspiron 17 (N7010), and I am sure I am forgetting a whole bunch of stuff, and I am not including stuff that has been shelved for non use. The xw6200 has a RAID5 setup with 5-1 terabyte drives.
"Do you have a guarantee you can download what you bought to the new one?" - If I cant run it I dont buy it, and if I do, I get my co-worker to download it DRM free from the newsgroups.
"They do deteriorate, but at a much slower rate than technology" I still have porn from my dial-up days when I was a noob... still looks good.
It is a puzzling thing. The truth knocks on the door and you say, "Go away, I'm looking for the truth," and so it goes away. Puzzling. - Robert M. Pirsig
"More twisted logic from the queen of bullshit." - Aww is someone bitter because they lost the battle? Its ok little child. You will get to play grownup games someday.
Re: Not so, uninformed can change legislation in bad ways
Another fucking lie from an ac. The issue was "end of life" counseling that would encourage aged patients from partaking in costly medical procedures.
and
But on Dec. 3, the Obama administration seemingly flouted the will of Congress by issuing a new Medicare regulation detailing "voluntary advance care planning" that is to be included during patients' annual checkups. The regulation aimed at the aged "may include advance directives to forgo aggressive life-sustaining treatment,"
Where did they get such a lie from? - The New York Times reported.
"A provision in the law to authorize medicare to compensate doctors for helping patients write a living will." - Outright lie.
in addition,
Seniors appear to be a major target for precious resources under the Obama healthcare plan. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the Obama plan cuts nearly $500 billion in Medicare benefits to seniors as the federal government adds 30 million uninsured Americans to private and public healthcare systems.
“The chronically ill and those towards the end of their lives are accounting for potentially 80 percent of the total health care bill out here . . . there is going to have to be a very difficult democratic conversation that takes place,” he said. - Dr. Donald Berwick, administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
All the misinformation that get passed around from the supporters of SOPA/PIPA/ACTA... thats ok, but G forbid some opponents get some facts wrong and all of a sudden the sky is falling and we are all a bunch of freeloader, freetards. Nice. See above comment as a perfect example.

"spread the censorship lie" Yeah OK AC.
If ACTA is passed, studio execs will be allowed to behead children and eat their entrails. Its true go see for yourself.
Sorry but once you have people's attention you need to run with it. Shoot big. Because in a month or two PPL will go back to their tweets, tubes, books, and forget all about it.
I hope I am wrong. I hope users saw the back room dealings that will influence their lives and dont forget that there is a constant push to pass these kinds of laws. What we need to watch out for now is these provisions creeping into unrelated legislation a drop at a time. They have the time, money, and influence. They went for the major power grab and failed. They wont let it happen again.
The Conventions of a number of the States having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best insure the beneficent ends of its institution.

The way copyright was meant to work. (Thumbs up with fake plastic smile.)
What is really scary is:
websites that obtain certification
Certification? From who? They are already making it tougher to register/pay for a website anonymously, now you would have to register it? under a recognized scheme? Out of their freaking minds.
