Are you complaining about the "editor's choice" comments? Well, I can't help you there. Those are picked by the writer that does the "Top Comments" list, and are (traditionally, at least) from the top 10. By their very nature, they are picked by a handful of people (only so many editors/writers). Otherwise, it would be a "Top 4" list.
Re: Re: Scientologists apparently need to move to Spain
The complaint here is not that Jesus was "born of a virgin," but that Catholicism's Virgin Mary stayed one after. He was just her firstborn, and, even biblically, her marriage to Joseph was not sexless since Jesus had at least one biological brother. James, just off the top of my head.
Believe what you will about Jesus' pedigree, the book you got it from says that Mary had other, non-deity children.
edit before posting I misread the complaint. He's probably talking about Zoroastrianism. It did exist before Christianity, but not Judaism. However, his "virgin birth" origin was added much later.
If referring to Mithras, however, he just appeared. No women involved.
He loudly bemoans the fact that Amazon insists on allowing snippets before hosting a book, and then... lets them do it. He could always use a different service, but then, that wouldn't make as much money.
I actually applaud the pragmatism, don't get me wrong. I just hate the fact that he seems to think he's getting crucified for what he chose to allow from his completely voluntary publisher.
But he'll probably claim that Amazon is a monopoly, just like he claims about Google.
Re: Re: Re: Re: But "the plain language version" you give isn't Twitter's terms.
Don't try, man. He has a very distorted and, thankfully, exclusive definition of "common law" that seems to mean "what I want the law to be."
When real common law is just another word for "judicial precedent," or "caselaw."
Which, by common law, is automatically overruled by any real law covering the same subject matter. That's why each new bad law has to be declared unconstitutional on it's own merits, even though any idiot could see it wouldn't hold water.
That's the thing: every time he does, they repaint it, and he goes off on a rant about how they're censoring him, because the wall (of their house) is public property since the public can walk right by it.
I wasn't aware that Monster Energy was fielding an NBA team, though. Or making British pizza. Or liquor. Or software in Japan. Or aquariums. Or movies.
You only have a right to defend your mark in a very narrow and specific market.
It also helps if the company you sue is small. Coffer size is probably the only reason the two giant Monsters (Energy & Cable) haven't attacked each other.
No, no, no. You see, HIS website is privately owned, so those rules don't apply. He can moderate all he wants, since it's his property. It's only OTHER people's websites that are automagically "public" or "utilities" or whatever nonsense he's claiming gets things done his way.
Then again, even state-owned papers in despot-ruled backwaters get more editorial control than what he thinks applies to Twitter.
Re: ONLY IF get a "a small, slick console" for FREE are you "right".
So, they're going from not making any money (since the games haven't been sold by the publisher for 20 years) to making a whole lot of money by selling these games bundled in a nostalgia-based piece of hardware.
And it's still not good enough for you. Whether or not those games were pirated, or bought legally second hand, the publisher/artist made the same amount of money - nothing.
Now, they are going to make a bunch of money, by offering a product that is the same as the "free" version. That is competition, even if it isn't exactly the same thing.
Cars are competition for taxis are competition for buses are competition for trains are competition for airlines, etc. Products don't have to be identical to compete.
Also, you really need to stop with your crazy denial of the way words change. I know, reality is hard to deal with, but things change. In fact, a lot of things have already changed, and you really need to deal with the new reality that is kicking you in the head.
What, really? I honestly had no idea that she wasn't called Spider-Gwen. I was at the store today, and even saw official merchandise (one of those articulated figurines with the fiddly replaceable heads), and the name on the box was Spider-Gwen. And those sorts of things are usually good at having the correct character name (how else would the world know the name of Bounty Hunter #3, Boba Fett?)
Don't expect anything reasonable from this guy. I have yet to see evidence of any kind from the sort of bozo who uses the number of pages that a law has as some sort of condemnation of it.
