Re: Re: Re: Laws have loopholes that were not envisioned
The RIAA and MPAA have to have a say. It just so happens that they seem to have all the say. Avoiding the public domain for all save pillaging is all that can happen while things remain so lop-sided. Until the public domain has a proper seat at the table copyright will only get more and more ridiculous. It is very much the joke that technology treats it as and that's really unfortunate because there's much more wealth to be had from the public domain than by perpetual copyright. It simply doesn't make sense and it takes the form of pure greed, savage and unruly. It's already eating into the fabric of the internet and molesting everything it its path. The only real option is to fork.
It was a small reflection on a mind that puts karma, fake news and the left together to attempt to assert some sort of point. After typing "fake news" for the first time, ever, I was left wondering how news that is fake suddenly became the bogeyman. And now I type that and think to myself, in my best Sarah Palin voice (and undergarments), that gosh darn it, I just want to drill somethin'. So there you go, anything you can make for sense from that then have at it.
When I think of the RIAA I think of trust and fairness because they are the stalwart giants of all that is righteous by tirelessly defending and ensuring the rights of artists and their fans with the utmost care and concern for all. THEY are THE thought leaders both now and well into the future for everything music.
I'm simply amazed they haven't crushed the one, lone, live music venue within a 20 mile radius, yet. But that (somewhat more than free) free-riding bastard of a pub will die soon enough. Music ain't free, can't be.
100 mile borders, forfeiture, most truthful lies, safety, third parties, your stepmothers. We've whittled away just enough that the next least harmful president is going to have a field day.
To suggest that we need a new law that "prohibits" parallel construction might, in fact, suggest that we need a new government. One that recognizes and embraces its tenets.
Apart from the (imo saddening) migration to centralization, some occasional government interference and the regulatory capture of telecom there is no other industry doing the most overt damage to the Internet to the detriment of all that use her than these asshats.

I'm thinking the gov should foster an Icelandic Foods program to spread interest in the foods of Iceland. A sort of co-op that fosters pride and shares yum-yums with the rest of the world, except not in the EU, of course. Imagine that.. an Iceland Foods market with product on the shelves stamped Official Product of Iceland. Ick. I'm already confused. Iceland's simply going to need a name change. The one they have now simply won't work.
.. Iceland Food company with trademark in food industry has successful track record of preventing Iceland Anything from existing.. starting to affect Icelanders in Iceland.. Still no eyed deer?
It's all a little *silly*, isn't it? .. Still no fucking eyed deer?

And hasn't fake news been around for, well, since print? Isn't it all up to the idiot with the eyes in the end? How is this even a thing?
