I think this is the same AC that comes on here to support the IFPI reports even though they're debunked repeatedly. He never links nor puts up where his reasoning comes from, merely trumpets the same lines supporting SOPA and against other reasonable measures.
So here's the obvious question. What happens when there's a label that forces all other labels to compete for the artists?
One of the rogue websites is turning into a vogue website. And he's offering to allow artists to keep 90% of their earnings. How can SOPA do the following:
A) Stop artists from leaving for a better deal
B) Prevent sharing of files
C) Compete with the better deal
Cleland's articles are so well footnoted and researched, I've decided to send them around to everyone that is wondering what is really going on with SOPA.
That's the funniest thing I've heard today. +1 funny for you.
There is nothing cryptic about pointing out that instead of sitting in the dark the site owners could have simply filed motions with the court at the outset contesting the seizures
Which caused the silence of the blog for an entire year without due process. Congratulations.
After all, this is what the federal statute provides.
The statute provides. The ICE did not provide.
Apparently, pointing out what is obvious to even lawyer initiates is not well received here.
No, you can have any opinion in the world. But when the only thing you do is insist on being as cryptic as possible, much to the consternation of those that actually *want* to debate, expect people to say what you're full of.
Maybe when you actually come out with an argument, then you're treated with more respect in kind. It's entirely your choice.
Funny, maximalists do it all the time in trying to disparage people they don't agree with here.
Just up above, I'm called a freetard for no reason (by you in fact), while Ellen is given a free pass to show that she's a female version of Scott Cleland.
Maybe if she could have an actual argument instead of trying to disparage Oyama's testimony, I would take her seriously. As it stands, she hasn't done anything but bring out a "but... but... piracy" speech that is misleading at best.
Ah, Ellen Seidler. One of the poster children for anti-Google hatred. Have any credible reporters against Google? In that rant, there were no definitions of what was a pirate site, just rhetoric aimed at saying "Google is evil" for following the DMCA.
Oh, the public watched. The chances for reelection for a few of them are slim and none. If we can get some good strong electors who care about freedom instead of money, it would work wonders in having a system of,by,&4 the people. (notice the reference speech)
While he's versed in acronyms, you're still full of shit. You have yet to try for a rebuttal, instead opting for your crypto-language you're known for.
This brings to mind a question. By the GAO report, these products will be destroyed. However, some of these are pretty expensive. Why in the world would HSI buy golf clubs to show that they're counterfeit? (Pg 583)
I'm calling shenanigans unless there's an additional report that shows the determinations of these goods.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Pssst, Mike, they already snuck that into 47 U.S.C. sec 230...
I don't take you seriously because you're a ridiculous person. You jump to conclusions. You have the worst case of confirmation bias I've ever seen. You have no objectivity. You lie and manipulate. I could go on and on...
Then why do you keep visiting this site, making disparaging remarks, make an ass of yourself and your pro-SOPA position, and make your argument that much weaker with ad hominem attacks?
It's a lot easier to believe Mike and his observations when you do nothing credible for yourself in regards to actually debating a topic.
Pfft. Greenspan got the benefit of obfuscating stupidity. You want to know what he did? He basically kept the interest rate low to induce more borrowing, place people into debt, and make a killing on the interest. Amazing how people treated him like a rock start for helping to ruin the economy.
The poor prick doesn't even realize the law he's shitting tacks over doesn't apply to him
Explain that with actual data. No conjecture, no faith based economics. Explain how Section 102 or Section 103 does not apply to his particular website.
There's a few options that we can do instead. One requires us to make political donations smaller.
Another requires an overhaul of the system. But I like the Indian notion of bribery not being illegal, just whoever's on the receiving end could be set up for blackmail (IIRC).
We can change the system, it's just going to take a LOT of work to get through the BS.
No, that would be Christmas coming early. Goodlatte is basically there to make sure that this meeting fails though. He was part of the Super Committee on the Bush tax cuts. Suffice to say, it failed.

Here comes a new challenger

I would really love an answer to this.
