Re: Re: Re: The Eternal Value of Privacy
Not incredibly. She worked at a small bank, before they were bought by a larger bank. The tellers lent money to people that were dead and several people shared it. People would take money to fill the ATMs and they wouldn't get filled to the top. I didn't know anything about it until it until the feds showed up at my mother's house and asked her to call my cousin (who was apparently dodging the feds). Apparently the guys that showed up knew everyone's name and knew my cousin answered the phone when my mother called on a regular basis.
I may jump online tonight and tell you the rest, but it's really kind of a boring story.

It's not Sprint's fault and the danger doesn't lie in talking on the phone while driving. It's the fault of the government for giving licenses to morons. So the lawsuit should be against the DOT for that state.

Re: The Eternal Value of Privacy
I have paused. Turns out I had good reason. Feds had my mother's phone tapped in an ongoing investigation against my cousin (money laundering, not terrorism). There is no telling what kind of crazy crap I spewed while they were listening, especially while she and I were talking politics.

Re: Some help please.
Good luck buddy. I am not going to yell but I have a feeling a bunch of other people will. I remember saying almost the exact same thing several years ago. Wrong, illegal, and embarrassing are sometimes three completely different things and the government doesn't have a great track record for keeping things a secret.
I won't go into my personal example, but just understand that if my internet searches were made public I'd be sitting in a padded room.

Beside the point, and something I honestly don't care about: Logistics, not Ligistics.
A lot of the offset presses are Japanese, like the Akiyama presses. The best one I ever had the pleasure of working on was a Heidelberg. It was built years before I was born, made from what looked like cast iron and steel, and even though it was slower than the modern presses we used it never had any down time while I was working at the print shop.
Besides, I can commit many more gruesome atrocities with a simple hammer than I can an ebook reader.

Nothing wrong with short line in a sig pointing towards your site. It's not spam if you don't just go around posting specifically so people will see it.

Wisely? Those people end up as part of bot nets. Yes, it hurts them. It also hurts you when that bot net is aimed at the bank you do business with, or even your own computer. Don't think for a moment that a computer with malware only hurts the person who owns that computer.

Re: Re:
I have to second the stupid one. I have a fair internet package because I play a lot of games and because I do a LOT of work from home, much of which involves remotely connecting to servers on different networks. I don't even think I installed a torrent program (and I refuse to run Kazaa/Limewire/what have you) on my current machine. I also share my music when I get time along with jamming online, so a good upload speed helps me out greatly. All of those things are legal last I checked. My music, my work, games I pay to play (or that are free). All 100% legal fun. Have I ever been a raporist? Sure, once upon a time, but not in years. My internet package then was atrocious even by the standards of that time.
Does the grandparent think that just because someone enjoys their nice internet package that they are raporists?
