No one made that argument. They should expect to be monitored by the people who employ them, and that is the public. No expectation of privacy while on the job. If you think privacy is 'all personal rights,' then perhaps you have other issues that need to be resolved.
You do realize this is a discussion blog and Mike is not a reporter, right? That isn't a 'news article' you read, it was Mike's take on the articles that he's linked to within his post. Please, learn to read AND to click through. It will save us all a headache.
Does anyone need any more reason to understand why I will not support this man in any way? He's a hack. A dried-up, angry old man whose time has come and gone, if you could ever say that it truly did come in the first place. An elitist snob who thinks the world owes him for everything, and he should return nothing. Die, Mr Ellison. Stop wasting our oxygen.
A bought representative no longer represents their constituents but the people who paid for them. No one that voted for longer copyright represents /my interests/ no matter how you spin it.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Me and everybody else ..
No, all you're breaking are TOS' that are chunked in underneath the wrapper making it impossible to return software after you've opened it. So we use it anyways, and TOS be damned. We are being forced into an agreement to which we do not agree. You can paint it any color you like, but a zebra is still black and white.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Me and everybody else ..
Nah. You changed the agreement. Now your whining is meaningless. Don't like it? Tough luck, pal. Want to come after me? Gotta prove I've done anything illegal. Good luck with that.
And there you go making sweeping generalities. The only thing I am 'expert' in is taking the odds and ends of my pantry and turning them into tasty, tasty food.
Irrelevant. The county mark is not a US /Federal/ government mark. Works from other levels of government than the Feds may or may not be eligible for protection depending on state and local laws.
Re: The tear-jerking story of a millionaire cheated by a billionaire.
So... you're all for the artists except when the producers, recorders and collection societies say that you shouldn't be, then boo hoo for them. Gotcha. Why don't we just play hide and go fuck yourself?
You missed the part where she emailed the images, then. Natch. The content does not matter as using it for instructional purposes is covered by fair use, public domain or not.
