ThisIs50 now has a discussion going about the fact that it's on the list. Perhaps this is some sort of "punishment" for 50 Cent's earlier claims that "piracy" is just "marketing" and that he'll make up the money elsewhere?
And if they get the PROTECT-IP act signed in they will only block sites that have infringing content and not just sites they get into an argument with.

When I first heard about this and that Apple has the backing of the major labels my first thought was what will happen with the current lawsuits against the other music locker services? Couldn't this act by the labels be shown as an acceptance that storing your own music on a remote hard drive is not infringement? This, once again, shows the double standards the labels have with technology.
We should just go back to the good old register to receive a copyright. That way if I wanted to copyright this message I would have to take proactive steps to do so, instead of the automatic copyright that is in place today. If I wanted my works to be used freely by anybody anywhere then I do nothing. But then again this way is too simple so why would we need the lawyers?
Unless you ONLY use your smartphone's touch screen to enter in your password this is not possible. I have a smartphone with a touch screen and run the same app several times a day. If the location of that app lines up on the screen with a digit for my password it would make it look like that digit is frequently used. Not to mention multiple pages of frequently used apps, taps on the screen once that app is running, or on screen keyboards for typing in URLs or other non-password items. After a while you screen will look like nothing more then one large smudge.
The govt uses touch screens for security entry points where you have to enter in the password to gain entry. To combat this form of breach they have the digits change location on the screen so even if you know where the last person touched on the screen the digits don't align with those locations anymore so it is useless information. This could easily be incorporated into smart phones for those people who are concerned.
