Not in my case, life + 50 for me. Hey, they're my copyrights. If I want to restore them to the original Berne Convention term in my will, I'm perfectly entitled to do so. :)
The United States, by and through its attorney, the Acting United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, respectfully moves this Court to dismiss the Indictment against the defendants. As grounds for this motion, the government states the following: in a Memorandum Opinion and Order, filed on May 8, 2015, the Court granted the defendants’ motion to suppress evidence, and the government has decided not to pursue an appeal of that decision. Accordingly, the government is unable to continue prosecuting this matter, and we therefore move the Court to dismiss the Indictment pending against the defendants. I know the Department of Justice is saying that they don't intend to pursue prosecution of this case in the above quoted statement, but let's hope the judge dismissed with prejudice anyway. The DOJ has changed its mind before, after all.

4) Call it what it is, infringement. Maybe this has set a precedent in the US. Just a shame it hasn't yet happened in the UK so we can use it as a precedent here.
Maybe we could get some peeps charged with secondary copyright infringement on the basis of incitement. After all, if certain artists had less money because of a huge amount being lost to 'piracy' (and the efforts to combat it), then they wouldn't have had enough to waste on substances that fucked up and shortened their lives. Simples!
Maybe the labels had nothing to do with [Prince's] hardhips.... Prince has got hard hips? Maybe he'll do us the favour of pulling a Lenny Kravitz so we can all see for ourselves. ;)
Maybe somebody would if fair use didn't require that they use one of his tracks to do so. After all, he's pulled down Vine videos that contained 0% of his IP before.
Hey, MAFIAA. Don't you think it's kinda strange that the only people who see the unskippable anti-infringement adverts on the beginning of DVDs are those who legally purchased or rented them, thus having not ripped off the damn movies? FFS! (-_Q)
The legislation, in its current form, fails even to define hate speech, leaving the grounds for a complaint to the provincial human rights commission open to interpretation. Also of concern is that the complainant may remain anonymous. Once a complaint is received, the bill would grant the commission sweeping new powers to investigate an alleged offence, and to then forward cases to the human rights tribunal for action. Hopefully, the human rights tribunal will act for the human rights of the accused as much as it does those of the accusers'. Even more hopefully, this bill won't become law.
Among those problems are details such as the task force being mostly comprised of scholars who have demonstrated in the past a willingness to link violence and aggression, the measures they used for aggression, and task force members having previously publicly supported legislation aimed at keeping games away from children. That's just nuts, they don't even have correlation on their side. In other words, at the exact moment that the APA suggests violence and video games are linked, and at the exact moment that violent video games have exploded in popularity and dissemination, violence amongst youth (and the general public) is trending downward. Because violent games are cathartic, allowing one to relieve one's feelings in a safe environment. At least, that's how I've always used them.
Whenever Jesus said, "I am the great I Am" or "I am the Lord thy God", he always prefaced it with "God says", thus clearly differentiating between himself and the Father. I remember my Bible.
Never mind, I found out by myself by link following and googling. The suit was eventually dismissed in 2007 with prejudice by a federal judge, according to Wikipedia.
I repeat: if printer manufacturers really wanted to limit the support call burden caused by inferior parts and protect their customers from a bad user experience, they don't need to lock out unofficial components, they instead need to bring manufacturing to the place where the parts are being sold and give customers the quality they're paying for. I'm basically saying that if printer manufacturers sold parts that were better and lasted longer than cheap tat from China, then people would use the better parts without having to be locked into doing so. But as long as the only differences between official parts and unofficial parts are price and logo...
