The letter of the law ALWAYS trumps any (misguided) arguments about the spirit in which it was written. Especially when it's right there at the beginning of the Copyright Clause.

You mock _sports_ as bread and circuses while on the internet: the single greatest tool any government has ever created to distract people from effecting any actual change while making unprecedented amounts of impotent noise.
Sure, the same minority as ever are able to use it as a tool to overthrow dictators, but for most, it's echo-chambers, bluster, and cloying self-righteousness.
In order of importance, "THIS END UP" should be safety pinned to their chest, and "DON'T LIE IN COURT" should be tattooed on their forehead. Reversed, so they read it every time they look in the mirror.
Your Freudian obsession with other people's bodily functions and genitalia, even when mentioned in passing, says much more about the state of YOUR mind and morals than anyone elses.
Please understand that your personal hang-ups are YOUR problem, and are definitely not reflective of some greater issue with society. The fact that you take issue with idioms (i.e., "wetting their pants") is on YOU, not every other person who speaks English.
You know, I'm seeing a common element to all of these (slightly disturbing) conversations. There's always a person who is unhealthily obsessed with the functioning of strangers' genitals, calling into question their utility, and/or shaming people for the quality or type of genitals they possess.
I can't tell if you're some new form of sarcastic, or just oblivious, but the Title 2 classification that makes internet service like telephone service is part of what the new FCC boss is trying to roll back.

Churchill has only been dead for 52 years, and Einstein has only been dead 62 years. According to your own previous statements, the commentary you applied to those two quotes does not justify your blatant and civilization-ending copyright infringement.
It wasn't so long ago that Redbox was being effectively blackmailed by studios in order to prop up the failing rental stores. That was when they were purchasing in bulk!
At any rate, Redbox still pays full price for their movies, some of them purchased from the Wal-Mart whose lobby you are standing in.
Once again, lern2reed. The image says nothing of Muslims. It says, since you can't be bothered:
"That's our Syrian refugee Problem."
Syrians are an ethnic group. Do you think these guys care that there are Syrian Christians in the group of refugees? I can't seem to find any evidence they do.
The phrase "two wrongs don't make a right" springs to mind. Just because the Democrats are assholes doesn't excuse Republicans from getting called out on their bad behavior.
Also, copyright, by definition, is suppression of free speech.
It removes my right to freely duplicate anything I see, hear, or read and limits that right to one person or group. The ability to copy is a natural right (it's how we learn!), and in exchange for a perceived value, that right is suppressed for a limited time. Whether those limits are fair or not is a different discussion, but free speech is definitely stifled.

You are really, truly rock-simple, aren't you?
Responses, if ever given, will take a long time, while some stories deserve attention immediately.
It's almost like it is actually you, and not the guys at techdirt, who doesn't understand how reporting works.
As for rock-solid legal advice, you're a fool for seeking it from anyone you aren't paying to be your lawyer.

Aren't these guys the ones who were only able to "hack" the Jeep by changing hardware? Like, they had to install compromised chips, and the like?
If so, how is what they are doing so different from cutting brakelines and sugaring gas tanks?
Because, face it, any security system's greatest flaw is a criminal having physical access to it's inner workings.
