C) Micro$oft were publishes fixes and system patches to correct flaws on a regular basis (at LEAST monthly)
D) Anti-Virus Software has very little to do with system patches and more to do with ID10T & PEBCAK issues in a modern environment. (IE the moron that does not UPDATE their software on a regular basis)
"Do you believe that, if a police officer were to come and speak to you for some reason, you should be able to say "Go f*** yourself you pug-eyed sack of sh*t"? I mean it's freedom of speech, so why wouldn't you?"
Yea, and I have (not those exact words, but close) , what's your point?
Re: Illegalize fanworks in protection of trademark
So are you agreeing that this overzealous enforcement of Trademarks is ridiculous or not? There is nothing wrong with fan art as they say "Imitation is the sincerest of flattery". I am sorry, but I am not sure what point you are trying to make.
"Pronunciation and Origin of "Coquille"
Tribal anthropologists and historians agree that the word Coquille ("ko-kwel") is derived from a Native name for a fish (lamprey) that was once very abundant and very important in the diet and culture of coastal Native peoples."
"The original survey at least sounds like a reasonable scenario"???
If there was "Clear evidence of a malicious cyber-security attack (Using the Internet) by a foreign government against our military, civilian government, electrical grid, financial systems, or other critical infrastructure. Do you honestly think we would have enough capability left to USE the Mythical Internet Kill Switch?
I think you've got to ask yourself one question: Do You feel lucky? Well, do you?
"Launched by the CIA in 1999, In-Q-Tel's mission is to identify and partner with companies developing cutting-edge technologies that serve the national security interests of the United States. In-Q-Tel has invested an undisclosed sum in Silver Tail Systems, an emerging online fraud prevention and analytics company, an investment they say enables them to offer powerful technology companies in the U.S. intelligence Community and further protect the Nation's assets."
From the linked Article: "Silver Tail Systems, a provider of fraud prevention solutions for Web sites, received solid validation of its products and business model this week. The company has entered into a strategic investment and development agreement with In-Q-Tel (IQT), the not-for-profit, venture capital arm of the CIA."
AKA: Computer Security Best Practices -or- the stuff that every IT/CompSec Professional WANTS to do but is prevented from doing by governmental and/or managerial incompetence.
