I think that this would happen regardless of the party notifying capital letter after the President's name. I for one, am not surprised. More than information, this government sees secrets as power, and woe to anyone who questions what's kept in the dark, and why.
The government says there's a problem:
(high health care costs)
The government proceeds to act in ways that aggravate the problem:
(Increase the cost of drugs by destroying competition)
Sounds about par for the course.
Unless they can prove these competitors were making drugs that were harmful or unsafe, it's likely some form of veiled cronyism or misguided incompetence.
I eagerly await for the next mistake along this continuum:
(Government institutes price controls)
As a born call screener, I feel like technology has actually caught up with me. I've never liked having to make or answer calls, mainly because I rarely have anything urgent to say*. Text messaging is a miracle for me. I can send the usually brief messages I do need to make to people in a less urgent format, which again is the majority of my messages.
No occasionally awkward gaugings on how and when to end the call, just the info going out, and me getting a response when the receiver can send one.
*Appreciate the irony that now my work is pretty phone-centric.
But, I'd think 75 trillion would only be $12,000 per person.
Wow, they ought to say that to the $0.00 worth of media that I have pirated in my house. Thanks to free software, and cheap and easy to use digital sales, I can say that I haven't had to run afoul of these laws.
But it is another indication of how ridiculous these allegations from the IP industries have become.
I tried to resist posting this, but needless to say I failed.
GM: Okay Mr. representative, roll to save vs. lobbying for half damage to your integrity!
Mr. R: Do I get a bonus for my speech against special interests?
GM: No, as a matter of fact, you have to take a -5 penalty for hypocrisy, and another -5 penalty because the political contribution was for more than 1 million dollars.
The opposition AC is Lawful Neutral. LN posters never consider whether or not the rule is harmful or beneficial, it's the rules! Order, once established, must be followed.

Not so sure about that. What if his face likes to kitbash and hack consumer electronics? I'm betting that his work contract would either.
- Prevent him from carrying on that work for Sony products
or
-Allow him to do it, but not share it with anyone but some manager who may not appreciate it.
Maybe, just maybe, he wants to do more than work for a major elctronics company doing only the things they want him to do.
