Personally, I believe web services to be either on the Web or dependent on it. If something can be connected to the Web, but doesn't rely on it for functionality, then it's a web-connected service.
FYI, Bethesda Softworks (not 'Elder Scrolls') filed for declaratory judgement to prevent Mojang trademarking the word 'Scrolls' on its own on the basis that this would prevent other developers (Bethsoft had established use on its side) from using the word at all in titles of future games. So this did look like David vs. Goliath in the beginning, but it was actually Goliath vs. Cyclops, with Goliath fighting to protect David. Just so you know. :)
First off, since when has toothpaste been medication? Secondly, how long has Chelsea Manning been locked up and when did Caitlyn Jenner reveal herself in her ideal form? Yet Manning is facing punishment for having a copy of this magazine when it was clearly okay when she first received it. Fucking ridiculous! Techdirt does right exposing this.
Nobody's denying that, but this would be solitary confinement for life. Several years ago, one of my cousins was put in solitary confinement for a month, but the officers took her off it after just a week when she developed isolation psychosis because her active mind had so little to do. Imagine what being in solitary confinement for life might do to a mind like Chelsea Manning's.
The Florida show [only registered the name "Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show"] in 2014. The Dells restaurant [...] only started its lumberjack show three years ago. You think the Florida outfit registered simply to sue the restaurant?
No, a Grand Jury is supposed to decide whether there's enough evidence for someone to be indicted on capital charges, and they're abusing that power in the case of cops who kill by saying they shouldn't even be charged.
Of course, a quick trademark search shows nearly 500 registrations with ABC, so maybe that's not perfect either.... Ah, but does the American Broadcasting Company or any of the other ABCs have abc.xyz as a trademark? If not (and it is very doubtful that any of them do), that one might actually fly.
The real reason this crime remains unsolved is because law 'enforcement' would rather witter on about them being locked instead of taking the simple step of simultaneously pressing and holding volume up, home, and power on the Samsung, or even just opening it and removing the SD card to see what's on it.
You mean this Ars Technica article? Free clue: it's polite to link to articles you discuss so others can easily find them. Not everything is googleable, you know.
I wouldn't know, I don't live in the US. Why don't you do something about it if you're so concerned, however? (And I'll bet my assumption's more accurate than yours.)
"Notifications to the requirement to remove the information sent to multiple addresses resource, but response is still not forthcoming." Perhaps because Reddit is a US company, not a Russian one, so they don't have to follow Russian laws. Oh Kremlin, Russian into base stupidity faster with each law you pass.
If you set your MMS handler so that it doesn't automatically download pictures (and then only download pictures from trusted senders) that should keep you relatively safe from Stagefright. First thing I do with every new device I buy along with disabling the bloatware I don't use. I figure my phone and tablet are safe from being targeted through Google Hangouts.
