I refuse to get along with a people who have been so long at making life hard for me.
I refuse to get along with a people who has tried to take my rights from me under my nose. And then have the nerve to call me a pirate.
I refuse to get along with a people who manage to twist the definition of "balance" into something in their favor.
Maybe way back when, before I had been beaten down by followers of stupid laws I would've been more open, but now? Forget it. The bridge is long long gone.
'Tis either my kind, or them. There will be no betweens.
The MPAA and RIAA (and other IP creators) contribute and incredible amount of money to the economies of the Western world.
P.S. last time I read, the pet food/supplies industry contributes just as much money if not more, so that about says it all in terms of what you actually contribute.
Give it a few years, and things will get back to normal, and the entertainment industries' influence on public policy will sink back to the level that it represents in the voting public, which is VERY low.
Additional: I don't think forcing people to wait on release windows is being very patient unless you count their patience.
It comes back to "BIG" money thinking, they want it pour in all in one specific timeframe like a flood gate than releasing it when it's done and letting the flow start that same day onwards.
Your fans want to give you money now. Why keep them waiting?
They don't want money, they want "BIG" money.
They would rather have a million dollars on a whim than a gold laying duck (Even though she can lay many more than million dollars worth in gold) because it's easy and it's "BIG".
They'd sooner slaughter her so no one else can have her.
Point being: They are incapable of thinking ahead/long term solutions, instead settling for the easy momentary route because it nets what appears to be the bigger number than just being patient/caring and getting ten times the value.
Copyright has been corrupted, twisted and turned to evil, and until we start treating it like the moral issue it is, we're not going to make any progress in getting it fixed.
I don't know the exact details of the history of Copyright but I do know that the perception of what is "moral" is against us.
The world, or atleast the art world, views Copyright as the ultimate savior do-good in the universe. Any sort of opposition is viewed as "immoral" and "disrespectful".
All of my attempts to convince them otherwise have been failures no matter the facts. Like cement that has already set, their view is final.
Unless someone's got a brainwash machine the only hope of winning this battle lies with the new generations.
Reminds me of the fable about a dog who was eating meat on a dock, he saw his reflection in the water and thought it was another dog with another piece of meat. In an attempt to take the "other" dog's piece, the real one dropped into the water.
And then he had none.
This sums up their behavior, they bleed billions in greed because they make stupid decisions trying to "make it big".

I've found around 2 out of 3 times that people who are constantly making outrageous accusations are the ones doing it.

Yup, and the coffers of lawyers/politicians to help them pass stupid laws everyone else except them has to deal with.

Not including making stupid laws, of course.

The more delusional it is the more denial it takes to maintain it.
People who don't wear the blinder are either crazy or a threat which needs to be dealt with.
And it takes ALOT of denial, lying, bribing and cheating to deal with them. Hence all the claims.

There are many people who can't see alot of things.
They are getting left behind, their fight is just the struggle of someone drowning at sea.
Sooner or later their strength will run out.
