I suspect that you're missing the point by a narrow margin: sure, there are "legitimate takedowns. What quite a few of us are arguing is that the system itself is flawed, and this is an example of the way the system is flawed.
If there is a consistent flaw being exploited, would you not agree that the flaw should be corrected, rather than continuing to antagtonise people, possibly to the point of ignoring the law?
The actual quote is a reference to the problem with working ntirely in ntheory and not actual practice. In theory, Mitt Romney is going to be a Fantastic president. However, given the way he ran his companies, I doubt he has the practical skills needed to run the presidency efficiently.
As a real-world example, I will point you to the now F2P game Heroes of Newerth. It was initially a monthly subscription game, but has moved from being wholly subscription, to a Freemium model anis now nearly fully F2P as its base form.
It's a game I only found out about shortly after it went Freemium.
Then you, sirrah, have missed the point by a large margin. You've obviously not watched The Devil Wears Prada, for example. Fashion isn't run by the designers: it's run by the fashion magazines (which represent the equivalent to scientific peer-review journals).
That is my point, although I perhaps could have made it clearer: that there are those who fund projects because they're playing Venture Capitalism, and those who will fund projects because they're interesting and they want it made.
For example, I would love to see a Grey DeLisle/Tara Strong* supervillainess radio show, but I don't have the money to fund such a thing.

Some DAs are selling their stationery in order to help collections agencies do something that not only extorts people, but also has procedures in place for bounced checks and are claim that it's "A win-win for everyone"?
It's funny becaus eof the massively disproportionate sentencing between real crime (for there is no doubt that murder is a crime) and perceived crime (copyright infringement, drugs). Remember, that sentence mentioned is shorter than the one that could be received by Richard o'Dwyer or Kim Dotcom (should they ever be tried in a criminal court).
This, I susepct, is the disconnect between content funders and content creators, for thw most part. Funders require that they get a return of investment, whereas creators don't. There seems to be a lot less acrimony in the area of infringement when you're doing this as a labour of love as opposed to needs to get your investment back.

No. I can respect the job they have to do whilst reviling their actions in the negative.
See also: Abu Ghraib as an example of actions that should be reviled. I have a number of current-and-ex military friends who went and served in Afghanistan who also do not agree that they should not be out there right now. It is one of those things for which I have no easy answer.
The point of this is NOT to enrich certain entities. It's to encourage "Terrorism" via internet activism, so that the FBI and the other intelligence agencies can install their dystopian views of capitalism under the guise of protection.
The simple fact is that the armiesw are simply doing their job. Even if we disagree that there is a job to do. There's a corollary to the Hillsbrough incident and the actions of the higher-up polkice there were absolutely reprehensible. But if I called for them to be shot for betraying the uniform, then it could reasonably be argued that I was threatening them. And that, sadly, is a criminal offense over here.
