Conspiracy. Conspiracy to rig the 2020 election. Deny aid to Ukraine. And yes, the GAO has said what he did was illegal.
[…] but you are going to PROVE in a court of law that he THOUGHT about[…]
Oh, he did more than think about it. He went about to implement it. Recent news has come out that he tried to pressure the previous president of Ukraine as well.
If the cops won't police the area, and expect the citizens to do it themselves, how are they expecting private citizens to control crime? Have private citizens kill the criminals?
Exhibit A: Donald Trump. He cares not for the rights of the people, just that he gets what he wants, no matter what.
You lefties are ready to impeach someone for no crime at all.
No crime? He tried strong-arming Ukraine to investigate a political rival. The fact that he got caught and he decided to give them monetary aid does not make what he did any less heinous.
He's been enriching himself on the taxpayer's dime, going golfing to his own resorts and paying with the US taxes. He's been putting his friends in places of power, places where they have a clear conflict of interest. He's been pushing for policies that are unpopular, inhumane, dangerous, and possibly authoritarian.
I hope he gets thrown out of office. That's the new way of doing things. Yes, new as in 1776 new. We don't want the old way: with torches, pitchforks, and a dead head of government.
Is that "constitutional"?
The constitution is a set of checks and balances so no one government body can overpower the other. One of those powers that Congress can use is impeachment.
Well, we know what they need to do: Police Harder.
The fact that they're complaining about how hard it is now to do their job suggests they weren't doing it properly to begin with. And the complaint about drunk driving suggests that they'll let the drunk drivers go as a part of malicious compliance.
Probably part of the reason why Jim Sterling wants it put in: It decentiveses purchases and would force the game companies either being more honest or changing how they distribute games.
That does make me wonder: What would Nunes' Cow Simulator play as?
It'd be glitchy, sure, but what else?
Would it include a sign with Iowa crossed off and overlayed with California?
Would it include chasing down journalists? Or would you be helping journalists?
Running away from migrant workers?
Attempting to tweet, only to be stymied by the lack of thumbs?
Would it include an interlude with an overbearing woman claiming to be Nunes' mom trying to smother him with condescending affection?
Re: Windows Media Player is NOT same. You are LYING, Timmy.
WMP cannot get the specially curated lists of stolen content[...]
Correct, but any computer user with an RSS feed can do the same thing. And anything
[...]else people wouldn't need this program.
Last time I checked, there isn't a version Windows Media Player for Android or iOS. And I seem to remember older versions of WMP being able to play media over the internet.
And in any case, when a "tool" is specifically designed to and used to commit crimes[...]
So we should shut down Hollywood? A lot of companies moved there to escape the licensing fees of the Edison company would have extracted for films. Yes, Hollywood was built on people "pirating" Edison patents.
You [...] have been hiding behind the "legitimate uses too" shield for too long now.
A lot of legitimate technology can be used in illegal ways. Like a baseball bat can be used to hit a baseball, or used as a weapon of murder. Are we going to ban anything that could be used illegally? If so, we're all criminals using illegal objects, as anything can be used for illegal activity, even if just as a blunt weapon.
The real reason why the Pay-TV is DMCA-ing the app is because they see it as competition. And rather than innovate and try to improve, they chose the lazy way out and issued a (potentially-invalid) DMCA notice. Rarely are these things about artists and filmmakers not getting money (they don't get paid anyways), but of the gatekeepers keeping their stranglehold on media so they can buy solid-gold Humvee and diamond-studded swimming pools.
And no, Blizzard isn't talking about the USA in that statement. And guess what, China: nobody gets away with life without being humiliated or humbled. The difference is how you react to it.
Re: Re: Whew. Glad this long-running one-of-a-kind is over.
For copyright court, yes. Considering the fact that you can be imprisoned and receive a $500,000 fine for copying a single VHS, $2.25 million is still "Small Claims."
