Actually I was just thinking that as I scrolled down. I was also thinking that I hadn't heard anything about Ben & Jerry's in a long time, and if they played this right it could go very well for them, but I don't think they're playing it right.
It also occurred to me that a lot of people eat ice cream while watching movies, and there is always the question of which is the right flavor for a film? This movie company has made it easy for their viewers- it's something from B&J's. B&J should appreciate their effort, if anything.
B&J's should also appreciate the flavors that weren't turned into movies, including (use your imagination for what these movies would be like):
Red Velvet Cake
Dublin Mudslide
Banana Split
Dave Matthews Band Magic Brownies Encore Edition
Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream
What A Cluster
... (could go on but thinking about the Colbert one has turned me off to both movies and ice cream for a while...)
That would have been better than their previous marketing campaigns:
"Guess the clean towel"
"Free bedbug with every stay!"
"Name (and find the source of) that odor, get $5 off"
The other thing they should do is play up their recent award:
"Best artistic design in guestroom (UV only)"
Hey AC- once the video is released, will you come back and tell us which of the people appearing in the video is you?
It shouldn't matter if you like Dotcom or not- when the prosecutor tries to suppress potential evidence of a crime, something is very very fishy. If the video shows Dotcom being treated appropriately it would be a win for the prosecution, and there would be no legitimate reason to not show it. Is there a reason to not release the video, other than to cover up some aspect of the raid?
...this article seems correct about Verizon driving away DSL customers. After FiOS became available the quality of the DSL service seemed to plummet until it was eventually unusable. I always assumed it was to drive users to FiOS, which it did. The method seemed to be a complete lack of maintenance on the DSL equipment. Eventually everyone in my neighborhood switched to FiOS or Comcast. Have to admit that while I don't like Verizon as a company, I have no complaints about the FiOS service.
Obviously no one who is currently in or under threat of litigation should post details here- but I'm sure there are some great stories from people who are no longer under such threat (and not under an NDA). Maybe they could post here- what happened, did they win, lose, or settle? Or maybe someone could just post links to the patents used by trolls? Getting them 'out' might help reveal prior art or other info that could help defeat them. IANAL, btw.
Try the low-res (240p) version of the video- some things look better pixelated. This one makes me think that we need to have an option to watch at even lower resolutions. This video might have to be downgraded to animated ascii art to be watchable without undue ocular pain.
How about "Think about these children"? There are specific children who will be harmed by this, not a generalization of children who might be harmed. I understand the logic of removing the App from the store pre-trial (even without agreeing with it)- I don't understand why they would remove this App from current customers before this case has gone to trial.
Maybe this was just the testing protocol for a new medical device. The device under test is called the "Cover Your Ass" (CYA) medical device. As it has failed the first round of testing, as evidenced by the continued flow of information regarding FDA wrongdoing, it will have to go back to another round of development. However it seems almost guaranteed that the replacement officials at the FDA will continue to support development of this device.

What, a reasonable ruling?
How can we get judges like this in the US? I mean without extraditing them.
