Probably has the eggs packed up for that move to a non extradition country.
Don't you worry John I am sure is sitting with his Barbie doll in the basement that has SJD scribbled on a post-it-note attached to it and sticking pins into it for revenge.
John takes criticism well and always respects everyones opinion and has nothing but highest moral regard for the law...
Gibbs knows he is still in deep doo, he has a compliant before the state bar where a federal Judge has referred to a pattern of conduct unbecoming basically.
Now on top if that Gibbs (who is supposedly out of work, but I still think he is working for Prenda) has this portion of 81k plus 1k a day that it is late.
Gibbs had already turned over an affadavits in the Florida Sunlust vs Nyugen case where he basically singled out John "Teflon John" Steele & Paul Duffy as the senior Prenda partners giving Gibbs his instructions on almost every aspect of the case.
Gibbs in my estimation is the first Person I see State & Federal Prosecutors going to for a deal after they get a grand jury indictment for RICO.
Really what options does Gibbs have left? Prenda is throwing him under the bus, and basically saying he is incompetent and they had no idea that he was mis-handling this case and the courts directives.
Gibbs job prospects are pretty well shot. Who is going to hire someone that was associated with Prenda and John Steele after everything that has come down through the courts and has been reported in the media.
I see Gibbs being the first one to fold and give up everyone else, especially Teflon John. You have to remember that Gibbs will be lucky if he has a licence to chase ambulances when this is said and done.
John still has his licence (miracle that is mind you) even though it may be inactive (Teflon John is supposedly retired but I think that may have been a forced retirement, but I highly doubt he is retired, I just think he practices under the radar ~nudge nudge wink wink~)
I predict if the feds can bring down a RICO indictment there are going to be people scurrying for cover and striking a deal and I see Gibbs first up to save his ass and to extract a little revenge on Steele et all for hanging him out to dry.
Time will tell of course this is just my opinion, but hey even I am entitled to dream!
I haven't forgot about it, and if I recall wright Steele still is trying to sue Cooper in the Minnesota case isn't he?
I don't think we have seen the last of this yet, I would have to believe that Godfread & Cooper will appeal being with the confusion with Judge Wrights motion causing the Judge to be a little befuddled with the aspects of the case.
I would think Godfread will want to clear Coopers name and get him some monetary compensation for the mis-use and mis-appropriation of Coopers identity.
So I agree that Godread work isn't in vain and I don't think that Team Prenda and especially John "Teflon John" Steele has escaped Godfread's legal acumen as of yet
Hi SJD I would suffice a guess that Judge Chen thought their was a chance of probability to Lutz's story in reference to the Salt Marsh Signature fiasco.
I do think you are right though that Judge Chen may have decided not to move forward with any penalties due to the fact that Judge Wright has already started the proverbial hammer starting it's fall on Team Prenda.
That being said I don't know if Team Prenda will escape unscathed from Judge Chen. I would think Judge Chen is smart enough to know that something smells with this, but I believe he was looking at it from the potential of their being an appeal.
It could be construed as an honest mistake from a CEO who is not too smart (Paging Mark Lutz)I think Judge Chen would rather let them skate on this one, knowing full well they are in serious trouble elsewhere in the state and all over the country.
While they may have escaped this one, I think we all know the noose is becoming a lot tighter
" Further, Steele, Hansmeier, Duffy, Gibbs, AF Holdings, Ingenuity 13, and Prenda are hereby ORDERED TO SHOW CAUSE why they have contravened the Court’s order to pay the attorney’s-fee award. The Court hereby imposes a penalty of $1,000 per day, per person or entity,1 until this attorney’s-fee award is paid or a bond for the same amount is posted. This penalty shall be paid to the Clerk of Court on the same day the attorney’s-fee award is paid or the bond is posted. This penalty must be paid unless it is evident that the award was paid or the bond was posted on or before May 20, 2013. Failure to comply will result in additional sanctions. "
Judge Wright really ought to consider wearing a cape to court. I don't throw around the word Hero very often, but this man is one of mine. Awesome!
Oh btw Steele, I know your a little hard up for cash since your not practising law, and had to trade in you matte grey BMW for that 77 LeCar, but I was thinking you could always apply at Wal-Mart.
If you think that's a little beneath you, consider ordering Kevin Trudeau's book called free money. Just need your credit card. You'll like Kevin, you and he have a LOT in common.
LOL I didn't think that Judge Wright was going to issue a stay. The fact that they tried to get Judge Wright removed off this case, then they tried to dismiss the case before him, then fought to avoid having to appear before Judge Wright with a litany of excuses, then tried to end run an appeal in Judge Wrights's court room with a straight Appeal to the 9th Circuit Court, and then calling Judge Wright out in their filings to the 9th Circuit Court....I cant imagine why it didn't go well.
But I do love the fact that Judge Wright tacked on that 1k a day penalty per entity, wonderful sense of righteousness this no nonsense judge has.
I wonder how long the Prenda gang will try to avoid paying this, I honestly don't see them escaping even if they plead poverty I still see them being liable for the sanction order and the fines and penalties within it.
They better crank up the Professional class action objectors program and start the shakedowns - er - I mean objection notices, there going to need the cash!
But those couldn't happen to a bunch of better people, congrats John et all !
While I am amazed that no damages were awarded, I doubt this is the end of the Alan Cooper case, I believe that Cooper will launch an appeal to clear his name and to have the court find that his name and idenitity were mis-appreopriated in regard to forged signatures on court documents and that he was made CEO of two holding companies he had no knowledge of.
Also I am sure that Cooper would like to see John Steele and Prenda brought to justice for their roles in the misappropriation of his identity.
The fact I think that the Judge didn't delve to much int the depth of what was really going on and her confusion at the beginning, I believe sets this up for an appeal.
I am sure Cooper is going to want some vindication and some monetary compensation for the mis-use of his name and identity By Prenda et all.
The fact that Hansmeier took it while bent over from the Judge leads me to believe that he will also appeal due to the fact that the Judge said she would be forwarding the matter to the Minnesota State Bar.
This would now make 2 different cases were Hansmeier alone has been told the State Bar would be getting the case details and his actions have been called into question.
Prenda and those who are involved in it have now been subject to investigations of various State Bars, State and Federal Attorney General and the Criminal Division of the IRS.
Now Team Prenda is not done yet, they still have to explain why someone signed documents as Salt Marsh to Judge Chen in the SF court case...good luck with that, I think we will see the sanctions train make another stop at Team Prenda.
Has anyone noticed that A lot of Team Prenda has been hit with sanctions and state bar referrals, except that is for John "Teflon John" Steele.
I have to wonder if John really retired, or if his retirement was forced upon him. It seems rather odd that everyone else connected with Prenda is getting it in the ass (so to speak)
Think about it. Duffy has been referred to the state of California Bar and the Illinois State Bar.
Gibbs has been referred state of California Bar.
Hansmeier has been reffered to the Minnesota State Bar.
The only one to escape that is Steele. Now either John is smarter than we think or maybe John retired to avoid the very troubles his Prenda Team mates are about to have.
I really wonder if John retired or his licensce was going to be pulled and maybe he cut a deal to avoid loss of his license, that would make some sense if you think about it.
Now does anyone here really believe John is retired, I doubt it. If you think about, why would John Steele who is retired, show up in court for the Sunlust pictures case and when the Judge asked who he was, John basically lept up and stated "My name is John Steele, and I am not a practicing lawyer and am not admitted to the Florida State bar and have nothing to do with this case"
But yet there John was, coincidence, I doubt it...It's my opinion that John is still playing lawyer behind the scene but trying to pass it off as consulting, but really I think Stelle, Duffy and Hansmeier run all the litigation and write most of the filings themselves, sans Brent Gibbs of course who I think is dumb enough to do his own.
I wonder how Hansmeier, Duffy & Gibbs feel about their legal careers taking a vicious beating by the courts and their professional careers in jeopardy while Steel walk virtually unscathed.
It will be interesting to see what happens if the main players in Team Prenda get hit with RICO, I wonder who will be the first to save their skin and turn professional witness for the prosecution... and I would suffice to say that Steele will be the one to find out after the music stops their wont be a chair for him to sit in.
I think that there is real issue in law right now that creates a space where people can hide behind their ISP, and commit illegal acts with impunity. I think that this gets in the way of due process, as it's almost impossible to get proper identification for someone to bring them to court.
Essentially, it's great for the pirates who get to hide out and thumb their nose at the law, but bad for rights holders who are left facing legal stonewalling from ISPs.
Prenda makes it worse with all sort of stupid shit, they are total idiots. They are no better at this point that the Tenenbaums and Thomas on the piracy side, helping to set precedents that will be bad for the supporter of their side.
Prenda's case however does show however that there are serious issues regarding identifying people online, and that it creates both an obstruction of justice and sadly a hole where scammers (such as Prenda appear to be) can exploit for profit. It does neither side any good.
--
Well I don't buy that people can hid behind their ISP's and download or share copyrighted material with no worries. With all of the companies out there nowadays doing enforcement on behalf of copyright holders, I would say the inherent risks are tenfold from what they used to be.
With that being said I sure wouldn't believe my ISP or any other is going to be guarded about providing my info if a order is given to them for the information.
If anything I would disagree with you that ISP's protect the subscriber. Most ISP's are giving that info out if the court has directed it to do so, and they are also being paid a per subscriber fee to provide this information.
ISP's do put up a fight in certain cases and situations (for instance that RIAA Former Lobbyist Judge Beryll Howell) who gave Prenda Carte Blanche to get the ISP's to turn over subscriber information for people that weren't even in the district the case was filed in.
The only reason ISP's are fighting that order was that the scope of the ISP subscribers were scattered around the country, and did not fall in the jurisdiction of that court and its order.
There are cases around the country were courts have ordered the ISP's to turn over subscriber info because the information before the court has met the courts threshold of proof, and the ISP has complied.
There are always going to be those who will flaunt the laws and those who don't. That beings said though I am of the class of people who want the person brining a suit forward to make sure the facts they have said to get my information factual and most of all truthful.
There are a lot of sites that if you download a movie or a video clip that they include a hidden unique identifier for that member/subscriber that each time they download a clip or video and let say they share it on the web, they can go back and look at that subscriber/members info and say hey you shared are clip.
So there is a way to identify who may have shared that movie or video clip, and they can go from there to proceed with a lawsuit etc if they so choose.
Now am I saying that is fool proof with no issues, no, I still think there is great burden to prove there that the person who subscribed is the one who sent it.
There are always ways to get around things such as VPN's proxies, IP spoofing, using someone else's WiFi connection etc.
But the onus is on the person who is brining the case to the courts to make sure they have the facts right, the RIAA has done this in cases, so has the MPAA. But they have also goofed on some cases as well.
Prenda has done a shoddy job in my opinion on making sure the facts they represent have a semblance of truth to them. Their problem is they got so engrossed in the money they were making they totally forgot about the law and following it.
----
When Judges sanction you and scold you in various rulings and you still fail to follow the courts orders and directives, then you have brought the weight of the law and courts upon yourself, and deservedly so.
I agree. But the judge in this case went above and beyond, calling in people who were not directly party to the case, calling people in from outside of the district, and essentially putting them on trial without the benefits of time to build a defense. At that point, the judge is no better than those he judges harshly, he either abused his power or came incredibly close to the line, and he should count himself lucky not to find himself facing his own issues in the matter.
---
I have to disagree with you on this, Peter & Paul Hansmeier are involved 6881 Forensics. 6881 Forensics supposed monitoring program was used to detect who was downloading and sharing the movie that was involved in this case. It was also their declaration to the court that these peoples IP address's were the ones involved in the sharing and downloading of the torrent file.
So the Hansmeiers work for Prenda on behalf of AF Holdings.
AF Holdings is represented by Gibbs who was the original lawyer for Prenda Law. Gibbs was the main lawyer on this case till Duffy tried to withdrawl the case from the court.
Duffy is the supposed principal of Prenda Law, all affidavits and pleadings were filed on Prenda's behalf with representation from Gibbs.
Angela Van Demel was the Para-legal who was contacting the ISP's subscribers still after the court had put through an order telling Gibbs/Prenda that they were not allowed to contact the subscribers with information gleaned from the ISP's.
They continued despite that order. This one of the reasons which the first hearing was called for sanctions for disobeying the courts order and a sanction hearing was set.
Mark Lutz was supposedly the representative of AF Holdings and may have signed some of the documentation and affidavits in regard to the initial start of the lawsuit.
Steele and Hansmeier supposedly have no intrest in Prenda law but yet it was Steele Hansmeier's business that went to Prenda law.
So as much as you seem to say these folks should have never been called into appearing and explaining their involvement in the lawsuit and the Judge over reached, I have to disagree.
They are all so intertwined in these actions and in others around the country, that it is hard to not find they are all involved to some aspects. The Judge and defence too see this same thing.
If an appeals courts thinks Judge Wright over reached then I am sure they will remedy this, bit in my opinion I think Judge Wright included them in and rightly so based on all the connections in this case and others.
So then you just happen to think due process is one sided then? Only for Team Prenda?
What about the people that Prenda sued in this case, they should be treated with same courtesy should they not?
Team Prenda ought to have been sure of there facts when they decided to bring this suit to court. Most Lawyers when they are filing a lawsuit for a client at least try to make sure the filings they are submitting to the court are true.
How do you explain that Gibbs put forth a sworn document of his investigation of the IP address involved and stated that the house tied to this address was a big gated property with a few building on it, but no other residences close by?
But when Judge Wright looked at the same area he found Gibbs finding to be totally inconsistent with his diligence when he looked at the same address through google maps and saw a totally different aspect of what Gibbs reported.
Shouldn't Prenda's investigation have at least some truth to the facts they put forward to the court.
Also when Judge Wright ordered them not to use the information gleaned from the ISP's and they were ordered to tell the ISP's of that order and they were told not to contact and of the subscribers who's information was turned over to them, should they have not followed the Judges order and not contacted the ISP subscribers?
Did the does not deserve to have any settlement letters and phone calls stopped as that was the order of the court, which Prenda did not follow and ignored.
You make it seem like Prenda can not play by the rules and not follow the law and should be afforded all considerations, and the does should have to suffer the consequences of Prenda not following the law and the courts directive.
You are obviously one of the Prenda gang who are still is denial that the law applies to everyone including them. Prenda et all have found themselves in the very wrath of the public, courts and fellow Lawyers simply due to their own ability to follow the rules of law and the rules of court.
If the Prenda gang was adapt at following the rules and making sure what they have submitted to the court was honest and factual in their lawsuits maybe they would be ahead of the game.
The mere fact that they seem to find antiquated and obscure statues of case law to file lawsuits in various states shows they are smart, but there comes a time when you cross the line between which side of the law you are on.
The antics in the various states and court rooms and various lawsuits and the trouble Prenda has encountered show they have gone to the far side of the equation in their quest for the money reaped from settlements.
As the class action lawsuits show, the copyright lawsuit game isn't the only time their tactics have been called into question.
When Judges sanction you and scold you in various rulings and you still fail to follow the courts orders and directives, then you have brought the weight of the law and courts upon yourself, and deservedly so.
So please if you want absolution for Prenda, you better find a good Priest.. because your not going to get it from most of the folks who are aware of their tactics in court rooms and cases across the country
I would guess that was an attempt to not have to take their appeal before Judge Wright in the District Court, I am sure they knew then weren't going to have any success with it before him
Although in my hypothetical scenario of them trying to appeal before him for a stay, Judge Wright falls out of his chair and starts rolling around on the floor laughing hysterically along with everyone in the gallery and then after the 10 minutes of hilarity he slams his gavel down and say's "DENIED"
Of course we then see the Prenda gang out front of the court house hats in hand asking people for spare change!
So I see in a comment at Popehat that Padraigin Browne is Paul Hansmeier’s wife: ( the proposed client who Paul Hansmeier was trying to file a notice of objection in the Groupon settlement which is what this story is about )
Well I guess when your earnings take a hit from the Copyright Troll game, it's always nice to have another way to make some quick cash, and apparently being an objector in a class action is a good way to make up those much need funds.
I guess one scheme is as good as another when your looking to score some easy cash. The fact that they got hung out to dry in the one instance I am where of was when they were looking for a 30k donation ( and I used the word donation loosely ) to drop their objection to another class settlement and the lawyer involved on the other side called them out for it as did the Judge over seeing that case as well.
Much like the Prenda saga, these guys seem to have all sorts schemes to get easy cash, and even though they have been chastised in class actions and in the copyright trolling cases they show no real signs of stopping any of their activities, of course this is my opinion but sure seems like an accurate perception of things.
Does Hansmeier have any objector to a class action that isn't related to anyone involved with Prenda law.
Padraigin Browne is his wife. She is his so called "client" in the Objector filing on the Groupon class action settlement, and his client (collusion at it's finest!)
How long they have been Objectors in the class action lawsuit game. I have a funnt feeling this is not just the second one, and they may have been doing this for sometime (of course this is just my opinion)
The gall these guys have to keep on participating in activities that in my opinion are questionable seems to know no bounds, and it seems that the more you peel the onion back the more it stinks.
If I also recall right wasn't Gibbs involved in that earlier class action with the 30k demand as well? I could swear I read that.
Why does it seem the usual cast of characters keep popping up in these various cases, as much as they all seem to say, "well I know nothing of this", and "don't know that person" or "have any history with such and such", it always seems to be that no matter where you look they are all entangled together in some capacity.
I really do have to wonder just how many class action suits they have been Objectors in when they involve large settlements. There must be a way to find out through some filing or through the filed documents to the payees of class action settlements.
I would suffice to guess in my opinion that this little money making venture has been going on quite a while and that they have been using this objector status to ring up some quick cash to not file an objection.
Of course this is a little bit speculation and opinion on my part but I wouldn't doubt the class action settlement objector and the copyright troll game have been their only avenues of money generation, I am sure there are more that we aren't aware of just yet.
I am amazed the way these guys operate, it almost seems like they know every way possible to make a quick buck..my opinion of course
Amy & Samy are like that Ginsu knife set that you always saw being hawked on late night T.V.
Not only did you get the Ginsu knife set, you got all the other shit that came with it! And that seems to be what you get with these two.
BTW is it just me or does Amy seem like she could use large doses of some type of anti-psychotic meds. If you ever wondered what the possessed look like, look now further then Amy.
Well what do you know, another story different court case same cast of crooks involved. I have to laugh that they won't produce the document.
I think everyone knew they were not going to do this, because there is no Salt Marsh much like there is no Alan Cooper.
I am starting to wonder if Alan Cooper & Salt Marsh were some of Steele's invisible friends from his childhood...maybe someone should wake Steele up and tell him he is a grown up and he has to stop trying to think he is popular by making up all these invisible friends that he works with.
This is just another instance of fraud upon the court, lets juts hope that Judge Chen takes similar steps to what Judge Wright did and add to Prenda's woes.
I wonder if the rest of the courts are going to start picking up on all these shenanigans and start admonishing and fining Prenda and their various enities and start dismissing these cases.
More and more you can see the elements of RICO in Prenda and everyone associated with them, the conspiracy to defraud the courts and the public is long and dedicated to the copyright troll scheme.
I sure hope that the state and federal AG's are looking at the various cases and courts and taking the actions and antics carried out in them and making that case for RICO.
As much as I miss the laughs the Prenda gang has given me, I think these guys need to do some serious time for the crimes they have and are continuing to perpetrate in my opinion.
It's kind of amazing to see that these guys will lie thru their teeth to try and populate the myth of how they are on the up and up and no one is connected with this or that but yet it is always the same names coming up in these cases and yet no one knows what is going on with these cases or the people involved in them.
I hope Judge Chen once again sanctions and refers this to the state bar and to the state and federal AG's much like Judge Wright did. I believe this will continue on till they are behind bars, and then I am sure they will just run it from their cells!
If you have ever wondered when you will reach the bottom of the barrel in regards to how low the Prenda gang will go...well this isn't it yet!
I said in some previous stories that these guys are so addicted to the easy cash from these porn lawsuits that they would change and refine their methods to keep the settlement money train rolling.
I predict that we will see new LLC's incorporated in far flung destinations where secrecy is golden, new films to be sued over and new attorneys on the front with the old Prenda gang pulling the strings behind the scene.
Remember Steele had said just says ago he isn't affiliated with any Prenda cases but yet he works for the LW SYSTEMS who in turn is owned by LiveWire Holdings which Steele also is affiliated.
Now we ought to give Robert Stack a call and maybe he can feature Steele on Unsolved Mysteries and explain the phenomena of how Steele keeps ending up in Prenda related cases when he does no work for them and isn't associated with them.
These guys from my research on RICO and how one would qualify for a RICO case seem to fit the bill in my opinion.
I think we are going to see the Prenda gang rake in as much money as they can before the IRS, various State Bar's and the State & Federal AG's bring the curtain down on them.
I am glad that the various ISP's have banded together to try and get the order for ISP to provide subscriber information quashed, and I hope they are successful in getting this scheme shut down.
Now with that being said I doubt you will see the Prenda follow the order to halt contacting the subscribers, I would suffice to guess they will do what they did in the case before Judge Wright and continue to contact subscribers and claim like they did in the case that it was an accident.
These guys wont stop until they lose their ability to practice or are in jail in my opinion. Look at what is happening now, they just change the Law group name and kept at.
I find it un-believable that they would mention credit card data and mentioning to the neighbour and to the possible employer of the subscriber. In my opinion that's bloody well extorsion, and fits in with my thoughts that these guys should be charged under RICO.
Looking at the fact that came down from 4000.00 dollars to 2500.00 dollars makes me think that they are playing the odds that some may settle instead of hiring a lawyer and the costs with doing that and fighting would be above the 2500.00 threshold.
These guys are going all in in a race to beat the Judges starting to hammer them on Judges Wright's reporting to the other Judges of what transpired in the case that was before him.
Lets hope that the IRS and the State & Federal AG's step up their game before these guys start raking in cash from some poor S.O.B. I hope that they included the friendly defence lawyer who so readily agreed to this discovery without even a whiff of a fight, because in my opinion their is some collusion going on... lets hope a Grand Jury looks at it that same way.
While I would love to see the Prenda gang behind bars, I doubt we will have seen the last of them
I love this bit: Steele say’s LiveWire Holdings will be filing new cases this week! LMAO.. good luck with that John!
And once again Steele is also saying he is not associated with Prenda Law…but yet he knows LiveWire Holdings is filing new cases. John ought to give Miss Cleo a call his Psychic abilities are uncanny!
When Steele was giving this "We will Appeal and be victorious" speech, was there circus music playing in the back round? You would have to think Steele must fell like a clown giving that statement knowing the noose is tightening around their necks.
Steele and Prenda anytime they have been challenged have always put up the big front and Huffed and Puffed and got no where.
What do these guys think the chances are that they will have success on appeal? We all know what happened in the Florida case where Lutz got questioned and Steele was there and when the Judge quizzed Lutz he didn't know this or that and couldn't name anyone at AF Holdings.
The Judge in Florida declared that there was a fraud on the court and Steele & Duffy are facing sanctions there.
Then you have the case in San Francisco Where Judge Chen in another Prenda case wants to see the signed ADR that bears "Salt Marsh" signature and that was supposed to be presented by April 29 2013.
You can bet your ass now that Judge wright's report is going to go to other courts that are hearing any Prenda cases will be tuned into what is going on with Prenda and those involved in Prenda and their various cases.
I would also have to believe that the Appeals court will be made aware of the other cases and the Judges rulings in them and Prenda actions concerning them.
Sorry to say but these guys are history, I think Steele, Duffy Gibbs and Hansmeier will be sitting around the fire at the rail yard beside the boxcar, and relishing the days of old where they would chase ambulances and divorce cases and think of how good they had it as they are passing around that bottle of Scotch Ripple while waiting for the can of beans to finish cooking.
These guys have been long on the fringe side of the law, from their copyright trolling suits to their other side line of filing as an intervener in class actions suits as an objector to a settlement... but willing to drop their objection for 30K ~ wink wink ~ nudge nudge.
While they are gone for now I doubt we have seen the last of them, I hope the IRS and RICO will for once and all finish off these characters as they have crossed the line of right and wrong in my opinion.
I thought Kevin Trudeau was the definition of a true criminal, but Kevin looks like a Saint compared to the Prenda gang!
I have to say I am glad Judge Wright ruled as he did. I was hoping that he would recommended and refer this to state and federal AG’s. I love the IRS criminal division referral as a nice touch and rightly so, the IRS isn’t very fond of not getting their end from monies earned.
I also like that Judge Wright brought up RICO here as well, because after doing a lot of reading The Prenda gang and their antics in this case and others sure seem to fit the definition of RICO in my opinion from what I have read of the requirements and past case history of some of those that have been charged/prosecuted under RICO statutes.
Also nice to see that Judge Wright is going to make other courts aware of the shenanigans that have went on in these cases Judge Wright looked at. Ranallo and Pietz have definitely earned my respect for their valliant effort in exposing the Prenda gang antics and connecting the dots with Salt Marsh etc.
I look forward to watching and seeing what Steele, Duffy, Gibbs, Hansmeier and Lutz do now to try and thwart having to pay this and with their various cases around the country. I envision a mass withdrawl of cases ariund the country to avoid any more damage.
With that being said I would bet we will see a new effort and new names, LLC’s, new copyrights and more of the same. I doubt these guys are just going to quit. I would bet they keep trying to milk the copyright troll teat all they can. They are too addicted too the easy cash…I suspect we will see a little more friendly agreements between defense and plaintiff councils ( hint hint were we have seen this already )
But good on Judge Wright… now lets see what happens in Florida when the Judge there get this information from Judge Wright in the Sunlust case..I would say Prenda’s pain isn’t over yet

So I agree that Godread work isn't in vain and I don't think that Team Prenda and especially John "Teflon John" Steele has escaped Godfread's legal acumen as of yet

Re:

Judge Wright really ought to consider wearing a cape to court. I don't throw around the word Hero very often, but this man is one of mine. Awesome!

On the post: Angry Judge Tells Prenda To Stop Falsifying Alan Cooper's Signature; Calls It Fraud

Re: Re: Re: Re:
On the post: Prenda's Paul Hansmeier Asks Appeals Court To Delay Sanctions; Appeals Court Says 'No, Try Again'
Re: Re:

On the post: Mark Lutz Claims He Signed 'On Behalf Of Salt Marsh' But No One Seems To Know Where The Original Is
Here we go again!
On the post: Team Prenda Not Only Still Shaking Down People, But Also Threatening To Tell Their Neighbors About Porn Habits
Where's RICO?

On the post: Judge Wright Tells Team Prenda To Pay $80k, Refers Their Activity To State Bars, Feds & IRS
