I bet if you were accused of serious crap, especially in another country by some government, you wouldn't be any more 'manful' either. So stop whining about your sour grapes that Snowden actually has a pair and did some good for the world.
Copypasta maybe, but it is educational and unfortunately accurate in its historic detail - a horrific blot on Britain's copybook. These people were treated as badly as slaves - if not worse - because of remote, uncaring control from London. It would take them another 70 years to win their freedom and probably greatly drove later Troubles. Small surprise there are so many 'Irish' in New York, Glasgow or Liverpool still.
Certainly it works better if one company owns the physical network, and others run the services - look at rail, phones or even gas (I think) in the UK.
Oh, I'd far rather have them love in a world where their content is freely and legally available easily and for a respectable price, and they have minimum control and only decent profits...
