I was making reference to an actual incident of a right wing pretend journalist gloating because he'd joined the riot and was committing crimes with the crowd of criminals. You can't blame antifa and left wing infiltrators when known right wing figures are recording themselves doing this.
The people who did this were fighting to install someone who 100% backs Washington corruption, someone whose priorities were tax cuts for himself, someone who spent four years taking public money for himself whenever possible, from having the military stay at his resorts to nickel and diming the secret This wasn't a popular uprising because of bad laws, this was fascist babies screaming because America looked at what they were selling and said 'F*ck no, no more of this', not once, but twice in the general, then the Georgia run-offs.
Re: Re: GIve me a minute, I'm sure it'll come to me
And right wing 'journalists' were among the insurrectionists, taking pictures and tweeting from inside. Damn that well known funder I antifa, Glenn Beck.
Parler doesn't need Section 230 as it's not a business, it's a radicalisation tool. It doesn't exist to make money, the Mercers know that it'll probably never turn any sort of profit, but if it produces a bunch of angry, stupid, and most importantly, motivated conservative voters, then it will have produced what they wanted from it. If they get hit with a slew of lawsuits, they'll shut up shop, blame the left return to throwing their money into finding the next Steve Bannon or Andrew Brietbart.
I'm honestly surprised he wasn't just taken to a US military base and just thrown to the wolves by the Tories given their disdain for the rule of law and love of kissing Trump's arse.
The far left are not a force in American politics, they're a joke rather than the root of any sort of evil. You will never in your lifetime see policies advocated for solely Nazbols and Tankies enacted in American politics. They only get raised by the right who want to paint the other side as being as bad to scaremonger, smear and distract from the latest horrendous act they're planning, or by centrists who want to handwring and pretend they're above it all and just want to treat both sides equally, while doing nothing as the far right cement their grip on power.
Given the time period the tories want to take the country back to, I'm surprised it's Netscape they mentioned and not numbers stations, the Enigma machine and valves.
Conservative humour reminds me of the cargo cults after World War 2, they saw what people thought was funny decades ago and attempt to replicate it without understanding society has moved on it why people even laughed to begin with. They keep on trying, building those landing strips in the hopes the laughs will come.
He probably isn't, but will stick to the story until he stops being able to profit from it, which will be long enough for it to be all anyone remembers him for. It's hard to stop being known as the guy who did the thing when you spent months on TV being proud of being the guy who did the thing.
Sorry John, you destroyed whatever reputation you had by going through and reading the contents of a client's computer then handing that data to multiple other parties. Enjoy your two months of fame on the right wing grift circuit as nobody's going to trust you enough to hire you after this or knowingly give work to any company you own.
Yeah, they have no interest in discouraging 'both sides', they made it clear long ago where their allegiance lies. Tge police in Oregon have a long history of maintaining friendly relations with far right groups like Patriot Prayer, despite the fact most of their activities are intended to provoke trouble, and have been caught having friendly chats with members of the Proud Boys at protests, giving then a heads up before using teargas so they can clear out. They want to whitewash this, get their version of events out there first, clear the officers involved and make it as difficult as possible for actual reporting on the story to be done, nevermind justice.

i love how conservatives are completely fine with discriminating with people based on wealth, political party, age, race, state, sexuality and their religion if they're not christian, are more than happy to spout lie after lie after lie to try to bring facts in line with their feelings, but hold them to account for that in even the most milquetoast of ways and you've gone too far, YOU'RE the real villain.

Qualified people don't want to work for an unqualified boss. When things go well, they get the credit, when things go poorly, you get blamed, and with Trump you get fired on twitter.
Unfortunately this will be the new normal for republican presidents, Trump has exposed all the loopholes, how much is just based on gentlemans agreements not to do bad things, and once the bar has been lowered for appointments, it's never getting raised again.
Kind of surprised to be honest, as a staggered Cinema, home video (while it's still a thing)/Digital download then streaming format gave them the potential to triple dip and get people to pay multiple times for a movie they like. Guess they either did the math and realised they can cut out countless middlemen this way and make as much money, or just said 'Hug it, we really, really need our streaming service to take off' and threw everything in.
'Come back here so I can yell at you some more about things that aren't in any way related to what you do but play well with the screeching lunatics who vote for people like me!'
