LGBT+ folk have been accepted in the BSA since 2015 however the religious ministries closely affiliated with the BSA do not, so getting your LGBT+ kid into the SBSA is likely going to set them up for a lot of unchecked harassment.
Just sign them up for an organization not affiliated with a church. When I was a kid I went to Cub Scouts at my elementary school, and there was no religious organization involved.
No sooner had longtime critic/investigator of NSO Group's exploits and activities -- Citizen Lab -- reported the Bahrain government was using "zero click" exploits to intercept communications and take control of targeted devices then a patch has arrived.
"Than". "No sooner had... than..." Although this is a description of one thing happening and then another, if you rearrange it it becomes more clear: "X happened no sooner than Y".
I have Comcast, and I can always get someone on the phone if I need to. It may involve a significant wait but it can be done. In addition to that, if I have an outage the automated system immediately tells me that they know about it, gives an estimate of when it will be fixed, and an offer to call when it's done (though that last part is unreliable). So based on my experience I would say their customer service is significantly worse than Comcast.
If you signed up, like I did, you acknowledged that you may or may not get to participate in this beta, as slots are limited, and they'll pick clients on the fly as dishes and geographic openings become available.
But they don't mind taking and keeping their very real money, apparently.

Let's shift it a little: even by arresting a ton of murderers, we never managed to stop murders. So should we stop arresting them?
If arresting murderers resulted in:
no significant drop in murders
an increase in other violent crimes
enormous amounts of public funds spent
murder cartels being enriched
Then yes, I would say we should stop arresting murderers.
Just stating that catching dealers doesn't help isn't a good point in my opinion.
What more reason do you need beyond that it does nothing whatsoever to solve the problem it's supposed to stop, makes things much worse for many people in many measurable ways, and costs huge amounts of money? If the drug war were actually successful at stopping the drug trade, it would be a different conversation. The drug trade continues, but now it's extremely violent. Why are you in favor of this?
But if all the plaintiff is claiming is that Apple has a 55% market share and high profit margins (which from the ruling it sounds like it was), that does amount to complaining that success should be punished by the law.

if you are operating a moderated discussion board, and you leave something up after you can be reasonably assumed to have seen it (or if you specifically approve it), you've taken editorial responsibility for it.
The result of such a policy is almost nobody can afford to have a moderated discussion board. So there may be a wealthy few companies that do, and everyone else will either shut off comments, or not moderate. So get ready for spam, trolling, and porn. That is the policy you want?
Just recently, Nintendo issued a cease and desist for Metroid Prime 2D, a game starring Samus Aran and based on the Metroid series, and not long ago they hit The Legend of Zelda: The Missing Link a fan-game that bridged Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
Resurrecting a long dead title the company isn't interested in is one thing, but how did anyone think Nintendo might let those slide when (in addition to just being Nintendo) they're still actively developing those franchises?
the amount of work a person would have to put in will be untenable.
The technology will be developed anyway, for feature movies and TV. They will use CGI, because the things they want to show don't exist in the real world. Those people will continue looking for ways to make CGI better, faster, and cheaper. And they won't stop until it's indistinguishable from the real thing, and dead easy. At that point, why would porn producers not use it too?
It is difficult to see how this could truly be accidental, and just the result of incompetence or ignorance. The concepts of backups and copy-verify-delete are just too basic, and too easy.
But it will never be 100% “fools all the people all the time” good.
The only way that will never happen is if it stops improving at some point. Unless you're proposing some sort of asymptotic diminishing improvement over time that never gets there. Which is the exact opposite of how technology in general, and CGI in particular, tends to improve: at an accelerating pace.
