They do that here in Aust too.. though they always get annoyed when I state..
Yep I'm recording too though for Legal and/or transparency purposes
It's amazing how many governmental bodies, call centres, or whatever get all annoyed, peeved, threaten legal action, etc etc when its done to them!
Also in the State I am in our Surveillance Devices Act ads a caveat that though one party can record for 'legal purposes' (which begs the question what isn't legal since no definitive acts are defined as such) that party needs the permission of the other party to publish it other than to an appropriate authority. Oh and a phone call cannot be 'intercepted' it has to be recorded by an external device (no tapping into the line) - that's the Federal legislation.
So a court has absolutely stated now that Jesus or any divine 'voices" are an actual myth, not based on reality or probable evidence and are best left in the realms of mystical magic land with the rest of the religious mumbo jumbo!
Otherwise ALL pharmaceutical, healthfood, fitness, etc etc etc companies need to change there own advertising to remove the word CAN as well.
You are trying to change the playing field on whats considered misleading due to what you don't like or know. This is what your FDA is doing as well because it doesn't conform to there knowledge (or mandate).
Also the knowledge they were/are selling si specifically stated to be for informational purposes only and that any further testing to confirm should be done by medical practitioners specialising in the field that you are concerned about.
It's an instrument that whittles down possibilities nothing more nothing less.
as for the DRM structure, well being sandboxed means it will be removable, analysed (no matter what the USA DMCA states - ie: not analysed in the USA) and routed around probably a day or so after implementation.
Just to be correct, Microsoft ALWAYS required a monthly fee to play online. Sony only just recently required it for PS4 though the amount payed for the access is very much compensated for via the Free AAA+ games (and huge amount of Indy games) that that access allows you to download Gratis!
And just how far away are you from the TV to actually see it all compared to a standard 42 or 50inch model? If you are the same distance then your eyeball movement is A LOT MORE and is stressful on your muscles.
This is why 4K (UHD) Systems in non-commercial settings are absolutely useless since to really get the benefit you need a minimum of 100inch screen and be sitting at minimum 15-20 feet (or more) away from them too.
Basically 4K is great, though the human eye is physically restrained to see the difference!
Therefore no matter how you punt it the difference between 720p & 1080p is miniscule for the average home user. And between 900p and 1080p is so miniscule to be non existent and undetectable.
Though I'm not saying the PS4 is better or worse (IMO personally and professionally the PS4 and XB1 are basically nearly the same as each other).
Actually doli incapax is set at under 10... whereas there is a rebuttable presumption for anyone under 14 which basically means the prosecutor (in a children's court since no minor can be charged as an adult in Australia) has to prove that the minor in question knew right from wrong. This is basically a very hard thing to prove until the child is at least 12 so most prosecutors don't even bother.
Once the child reaches 14 the presumption is that they are then absolutely responsible, though they are still classified as a child under all state/federal laws and then a 'young person' at age 16. Only at that magical age of 18 do they then find out that responsibility becomes of huge importance in civil/criminal matters.
Children cannot even be arrested (let alone cuffed) if they are known to be under 10 either, though they can be reasonably restrained from hurting themselves or others. Not a situation that any LEO likes being placed in especially when Child Community Services (state equivalent) MUST be informed/called ASAP.
Interestingly the defense of infancy laws (doli incapax) which show the age of criminal responsibility are all over the place in the USA depending on what state you live in. Some are as low as 6 (WTF!!!!!) whereas most are 7. Only in Federal crimes does the USA meet any international standard setting the minimum at 11 yrs old.
Though what do you expect from a country that is only one of two in the worlds that has not ratified let alone signed the UN Rights of the Child treaty. Somalia is the other country.. nuff said

Maybe instead of just targeting Governmental kowtowing next time the EFF should target ALL privacy kowtowing.

In fact the bar is now set higher for any LEO to show that they are not specifically targeting him due to his lawful license plate.
If I was advising any LEO who was about to initiate any contact on this vehicle it would be to have specific and provable reasons to do so.
Sadly this is not the case in anyone NOT having a license plate like this, and there is the inherent problem with all authority structures.
