Praying to cow shit or giving your millions to a cult based on some very bad science fiction writing is pretty goofy but last I heard they weren't blowing themselves up to kill innocent people so they could pop 80 cherries. I don't care how nutty your religion might be. If you aren't hurting anybody more power to you.
They WERE aware of these two fanatics in Boston and had even interrogated them. Unfortunately even when there is intelligence about an attack most of the time there is little they can do to stop them. We need undercover agents in the mosques where the real details are being planned instead of pointless spying on everybody.
Unfortunately centuries ago this was not always true. The Roman Catholic church practiced wholesale slaughter on the Muslims during the crusades. This is how they justify their war on us. I am no expert on this but from what I have read the basic social tenants of Mohammad and Christ paralleled in many ways and had the followers of both always obeyed their true teachings none of this would have ever happened. The founding fathers had no concept of extremist terrorists when they adopted freedom of religion. Al-Qaeda hides behind these protections and mock us for our naivete. Keeping a watchful eye on them and even infiltrating them makes more sense than the massive surveillance on everyone trying to "connect the dots". Certainly not everyone attending the mosques are terrorists but you can bet that all the terrorist go there. Whether is from the leadership down or just small sleeper cells I am betting that there is some degree of activity at most of them.
I know that this is not politically correct but I actually don't have a big problem with giving Muslims just a little more scrutiny. In This country they are this poor innocent persecuted group but everywhere else they are shouting death to America. To prove that we are not profiling them we are shaking down senior citizens little kids at the airport. Even Al Gore was randomly picked out of the line once for extra scrutiny. I want to puke every time I hear "Islam is a religion of peace". In many Mid Eastern countries children are taught from kindergarten age what a great honor it is to die for Allah in suicide attacks. Except for a few whack jobs like Timothy McVeigh and some Neo Nazis it IS Muslims that want to kill us. In past attacks it has turned out that some mosques WERE hotbeds of terrorist activity. When you have pregnant women hiding bombs under their berkas it should cast a bit more suspicion on Muslims. The roar of the cheers when the towers fell is enough to disprove their peace loving claims.
I would rather have a president that lies about a few blow jobs on the side than all that crap Obama is trying to feed us. Who wouldn't lie about getting your knob lobbed if you were married to Hilary?
I hope you don't mind Timothy, but that first paragraph was so hilarious I quoted it on my Facebook page crediting you. I figured more of my friends would read it and get a great laugh like I did than if I just linked to the article.
So then you are saying, somehow the government knew well in advance that the planes would be highjacked and what their targets would be. Instead of making any attempt to stop it they rigged the buildings with explosives to make it worse just to have an excuse to go to war. Bush didn't need this to get us involved. He could have just kept pushing his weapons of mass destruction bullshit. I have only ever believed in one conspiracy theory and that is the JFK assassination. Probably a mob hit.
It has happened but probably far less than it should. Probably has a lot to do with whether the press gets wind of it. On the other hand too often police are criticized unfairly. Two recent events in my city:
A man fleeing a burglary was seen ON VIDEO firing a shot at an officer. The cop did not return fire until after he ordered him to put the gun down and the man turned and raised it toward him again.
Another man who was already wanted for murdering his girlfriend held up a pharmacy firing off several shots in the crowded store. He barricaded himself in a nearby apartment building and fired at police several times in a 30 hour standoff. The police chief was strongly criticized for finally giving the order to "take him out".
In both cases the whining in the press about police brutality was enough to make me sick.
If a police department is exposed to have wide spread corruption, not only would the guilty cops be fired and prosecuted but heads would roll all the way up the chain for anyone in authority. Even if they had no knowledge of any criminal acts they would get canned for not providing enough oversight to have discovered the corruption. If someone in high authority was aware and perjured themselves in a cover up they would get the worst punishment. Clapper and Alexander have not even gotten so much as a slap on the wrist from the Obama administration.
Your thought is not so far fetched. When they do pull this it will signal the end of network TV. The animated pop-ups now are too annoying. "You Are Now Watching..." (like I'm too stupid to know that!) "Coming up Next..." (Like there aren't plenty of sites that have the schedules so I could find that out if I did not know) "Premiering Next Week..." "Season Finale.." etc. etc. And whose bright idea was it to overlap the ending credits with the first scene of the next program squeezing the picture and putting the credits on the lower third of the screen so small you can't read them if you wanted to? Even premuim channels do some of this crap and have those annoying watermarks. HBO is just about the only channel that has held out.
People have been skipping commercials for more than 30 years since VCR's came out. I don't remember the networks crying about that. There were rumors that the advertisers knew we were scanning through them so they arranged them to give subliminal messages in the few seconds it took to zip through each ad. I remember it was pointed out that many of them seemed to put each of a 3 or 4 word ad slogan in large letters for seconds at a time so it can still be read at high speed. Perhaps there was some truth to that. Doing some estimates for an average viewer in that 30 years could have probably saved a year and a half to 2 years or more of your life otherwise wasted watching commercials.
Just look at the O.J. trial. Mark Furman used racist language previously and the defense was able to play this that because O.J. was black he must have wanted to frame him. You and I both know that was a big stretch but as I said, in court it is a matter of perception. If this guy's comedy had not involved such potentially offensive racial material I doubt it would have ever even have come up. A judge must appear 100% unbiased.
Regardless of someone's racial opinions, it is not a far leap when you hear them make racist comments that they may be bigoted. A judge must avoid even the appearance of impropriety. It's what is called being held to a higher standard. Verdicts have been overturned on less.
I don't think it was just the fact that he was doing comedy, it was the content of his act. Even the appearance of racism in the courtroom is a problem. If you were a minority and thought this judge treated you unfairly you could have a pretty good appeal.
A couple of questions; If you are unfortunate enough to get this malware, how do you get rid of it and unlock your system? How do you get this in the first place? I am savoy enough to avoid most of the usual ways malware tricks you into allowing it to install.
When my son was about 8 years old in the mid 90's he was already pretty good at programing. He couldn't stand the popular boy band the Hansons so he re-wrote an open source video game to substitute their photos as the bad guys to shoot at. When one of his teachers saw the floppy with the label "Kill the Hansons" she freaked out a bit but she called us instead of law enforcement. I convinced her that my kid only meant it as a joke and he really wasn't going to stalk a boy band to kill them. If that had been today he probably would have been suspended and hauled to juvenile lock up and faced charges.
What surprises me the most is James Clapper has not been thrown under the bus to give the public appearance that the NSA has rooted out the problem and they are going to play by the rules from now on. As a number of people in a position to know, only the tip of the iceberg has been exposed.
