He also fails to think that some of these people might not actually be sharing files, their wireless may be compromised and such. But most of these people will settle because it costs too much to fight and thats what these tolls are hoping for. he doesn't bother to bring that up either.
"This sounds like you want your ISP to fight for your right to pirate."
Actually we want the ISP to hold to their privacy policies that they showed us when we signed up for our service. Not to roll over and die because someone claims they have proof but can't show us right now...so Trust them.
I guess I will have to return my KF and order one from Amazon. I have mine disconnected at the moment. I will also return all my Ebooks, 200 of them, that I purchased through them.
As I read, and coming from my background, I would say the failure to backup one's hard work, especially when you are willing to pay $1 million to get it back? Yeah, back that crap up.
Well, I think sane is, they are not asking for $14 billion per card sold, they are actually asking them to stop using the name. Though I think a letter would have been a better start, but eh, their kids probably told them NONO SUE THEM!! LEAVE US MORE MONEY WHEN YOU DIE!!!
I was thinking the same thing. The only company I know of is Hallmark and I think Shoebox. hell, I lived in VT for 10 years and NH for another 15+ I have never heard of this greeting card company before now.
VP of operations at my former company got fired with no pension for even threatening to fire an underling in a company wide email like that. Apparently his position and 15 years of service can be wiped away with a small temper tantrum.
How much space do they freakin need for mouse settings? I have 1200 batch files and about the same amount of text files and some anti virus tools stored on a 1 GB thumb drive that I got at PAX East one year for Demoing and finding a bug in a game. If your config file is more than a gig in size, you are doing something else wrong as well.
In the year or so I have played LoL I have seen one bot and it got shut down mid game. it simply just ran from one side of the home base to the other not attacking anything.
