Interesting that he thinks it's an Antifa word because I heard the word "Grifter" long before l heard the word "Antifa" (e.g. I heard comments on this very blog refer to Google as a Grifter, plus an episode of the excellent Dan Harmon show Community).
Um, the South/Bible Belt is not the only region in the US that's ditching cable. I live in NYC and people are ditching cable and satellite up here too (especially since a month's rent up here will cost two arms and two legs). Saving money is popular throughout the entirety of the US; it's practically the only thing all of us could ever agree upon.
Ah, but there is a penalty for making bogus copyright claims: you risk sites/people like techdirt calling you out. And people (including me) mocking you.
Only for the takedowns that get coverage. If not, you're SOL.
That is so funny! I mean, we Jews have lasted as long as that or even longer, but you don't see us copyrighting the Bible (or at least the Hebrew Scriptures), now do you?
The burden is on the public who maybe someday in 300 years might FINALLY have things fall into the shared culture of people long dead that the estates of long dead creators will be arguing harm the dead by even mentioning the characters.
Um, didn't The Great Gatsby have its copyright expire on January 1 of this year?
Bethesda are rather notorious for bugs on release, and noticeably so even in this age of games being released incomplete and needing a massive day one patch to fix what's not on the disc. But, the counter to that is that they are in the business of creating massive worlds with as much freedom for the player as can be allowed. There probably isn't a way that they can get truly complete playtesting that catches every way that a player can possibly interact.
This. When you consider that even Nintendo's The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was buggy on release and one thing Nintendo does extremely well is having extremely polished games on launch day. That they couldn't do it for Breath of the Wild should show just how hard it is to polish a massively open-world game like one of the Elder Scrolls series.
I looked at the PDF, and I found out that the highest percentage of state warrants were in California, Texas, and Florida. No surprise there, as they're the three most populous states. What I found surprising was that NY State was not #4, but #15! What could be the explanation? Could New Yorkers (as in "citizens of New York City") living so close together be a reason why even the state governments know that reverse warrants are unreliable? Could the Subway have anything to do with it? I'm a New Yorker and even I am perplexed.

What makes you say that? If Microsoft-owned Bethesda is indeed going that route, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
