1. Fire all US Senators and Congress-people. 2. Fire all state senators and representatives. 3. Fire all state governors and their backups... ad absurdum 4. Fire the US President and all members of his/her cabinet. 5. Retire the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US military, their subordinates, and anyone that has anything to do with the NSA, CIA, DHS, et al. 6. Start again with the raw US Constitution.
Oh yeah, that would be the 2nd American Revolution, wouldn't it? :-)
These ass-hats are due for a real change of guard!
I became suspicious of Obama when as Illinois Senator and a stated opponent to the FISA act, he went back on his word and voted for it. Now, as POTUS he has been supporting the NSA to the fullest extent of his power. I have to wonder what dirt the NSA gathered on him back in his days as US Senator to do this. Also, I have to wonder if any of those documents Snowden liberated from the NSA show what it was...
Isn't this, "Marcus Ranum wrote "Information security's response to bitter failure, in any area of endeavour, is to try the same thing that didn't work -- only harder.", the definition of insanity? IE, continually trying something that doesn't work again, and again...
Actually, we assigned Barack Obama to fix this bug, but instead of resolving it, it has regressed the rest of the system so thoroughly that his patches have all but destroyed any utility it may have once had.
Although this may not affect me much now, I still consider that this may change in the future. At least, raising my own carrots is still an option! Raising my own cattle and pigs may be as well, but not as easy...

Well Mike, though I agree that this idea about open-sourcing HAPPC is a good idea, how does that affect me, a vegetarian? Fortunately (for me at least) the USDA isn't enforcing this on producers of vegetable material... :-)
The results of all publicly funded research is a significant volume of text and data. To be properly available, all of the results (mostly text + graphics) and all of the supporting data (complex data) must be posted and linked. I would advocate for the NSF (National Science Foundation) to be tasked (and funded) for this. Disclaimer: my father (an astro-geo physicist) was a director of the NSF a few decades ago. He passed the veil in 1991 (sigh).
