But all those poor people getting cheap medicine are taking money away from rich pharmaceutical companies (and all their interested groups)! This is an outrage!
maybe it really is a better idea to let this idiotic bill go through. everyone can say every other page is infringing and abuse the law so that no web page is available then Big Media can go back to paying shit loads of money in order to market their products on physical media instead of trying to think of ways to promote for free using the internet.
I follow a lot of software developers on Twitter and they talk about better ways to work. I try to incorporate their years of experience to help me get my job done quicker and better. All thanks to Twitter.
Wow. Odeon are being so short sighted that they may have to register themselves as blind.
From BBC's site: "The negative impact on cinema attendance that such a reduction in the [dvd release] window will have will threaten the continued existence of many cinemas, especially the smaller and medium-sized cinemas."
Does this mean that reducing the window to combat "piracy" actually reduces net profit for cinemas!? HA
"It's hard to argue that people have an unfounded sense of entitlement when media companies are the ones having the laws adapted to fit their business model, rather than adapting their business to fit the market."
The point of Henry's comment wasn't to compare slavery, etc, to copyright law but to merely point out that following laws just because they are such is not necessarily sensible or right.
It looks to me like the result of this court case has now set the precedent in the UK for other sites that may link to content, such as torrent trackers. Since those sites don't host the content, only link to it, they shouldn't get sued either now.

I can only imagine the scene as Grandad hunts the house to find his credit card to pay for the 911 call, as he's having a heart attack.
Or can he pay after¡
