As I said, I wanted to check out Bitcoin and whilst trying to figure it all out I stumbled onto this:
Drugs Section Empty
The "psychoactives" section appears to consist entirely of dead links. Ironwolf 03:54, 28 March 2011 (GMT)
I deleted the Drugs section, since Bitcoin is still far too vulnerable to government actions against it -- there are many single points of failure. The most glaring to me is the DNS system -- the bitcoin.org domain could be taken down if the US government wishes to.

So if they've taken it down, isn't this now a non-issue?
"No. In fact, we shouldn't punish them; we should separate the harmful ones from society and help and heal them so that they can rejoin normal society.
Oh. My. Goodness. Were you ever - personally - forced to deal with a psychopath or sociopath? They cannot be "healed".
Your entire diatribe is astonishing. Do you do this for attention or just to be divisive, or do you really believe all that tripe? If you do, pray tell, how does someone get like this???

Example of how people are getting their "klout" and I bet all of that so-called "article content" has been stolen off sites where someone thought working hard was the right way to go, and can't rid herself of that bad habit of a work ethic to TWEET TWEET.
You can't make a bullet a criminal - it's a thing; a criminal is a human who wrongly uses a bullet. A bullet can do no wrong just sitting there. How it is used is determined by the mind of a human.
I see what you're saying, nasch. I should have been a bit more clear - I've been seeing repeated comparisons to that Baptist church group and just don't see how there can be any comparisons. Perhaps I did misunderstand. If so I apologize.
But I agree with the point - if it IS okay, as the Supreme Court says, for those fringe kooks to disrupt such a somber occasion, certainly a little quiet dancing in a public place is harmless.
What if someone wants to practice their rights to speak out against torrents and wants to have a domain of "notorrents.com" or "stoptorrenting.com" or whatever?
Run a small local forum, keep it totally legit, clean and troll free and see how many real people actually join and participate to give you all this 'influence'.
Social networking has been taken over by hacks, trolls, fakes, $$$ and in some cases, outright sicko's who can literally harm others - and have.
Yet, we're expected to be "influential" in the social networking scene.
Well hell, I might as well go join the Hell's Angels then. At least I'd have "real" people in my "network" who make no bones about who they really are.
I don't know how anyone can compare a funeral to this instance.
Funerals are deeply personal and painful to the mourners. They should not have to deal with fringe kook protesters in their time of loss and grief. That's cruel and inhumane, IMHO.
This is a stone memorial, there are no mourners and it's not a funeral. Quite a different scenario.
Please provide us with proof of these allegations. I've never heard them before and no longer believe anything just because someone "says so". Thank you.
If you had any clue regarding the meaning of respect, you wouldn't say:
"...believe in imaginary sky fairies that you are"
all three "a, b, c points"
"You're delusional, ignorant and disrespectful. You get "persecuted" because you're a self-righteous asshole, not because you're a Christian."
Respect is a 2-way street.
Now give me a good reason to show you an iota of respect much less any credibility.
What vile, weak, narrow-minded, cowardly comments. Consider putting your name behind your statements if you're so proud of being hateful, would you, please?
You know AC, you're right. In fact, while mopping my floor just now I was thinking how hey, the big daddy gov't goons are giving away grants and bailing out big corps etc., PLUS they think the rich should pay more more more more MORE ...
Well, the music and movie industry seem to fall under "Rich" to this little poverty peon so hey, why isn't this whole mess reversed? Why shouldn't the gov't encourage RIAA and MPAA and all their cohorts to be more giving, to pay more, to SHARE (as Odrama said to Joe the Plumber)? Makes sense to me.
Torrent technology is utterly fascinating to me, a programming challenged sad sack. It's a great tool for sharing large files.
I so admire those who came up with the technology and hope they keep their creative talents flowing!
And I even had some silly school kid hack into my wireless and DL some movie via a torrent and I got the nasty letter for it from my ISP, which after initially being stunned beyond belief, I actually had to chuckle at. What a waste of resources and time that was.
In fact, it was that instance that got me reading up on what these torrents were/are and I was in awe - still am.

Stunning
And that's just one issue - as others have noted, we have many more much bigger that a digital "bitcoin".
Stupid is as stupid does.
Gee. I have to check this Bitcoins out now, maybe I should send (D) Chucky a thanks.

Exactly! And subsequently, a LOT of nationwide attention to the whole issue. Doesn't help the "cause of the cops" any, that's for sure.
