Los Angeles Times reports a police official said no attempt was made to infiltrate any far-right protest groups.
Say what you will about the anti-fascist movement - but why do the police seem to have such a strong bias when it comes to ignoring right-wing extremists?
I love how any news outlet that the alt right disagree with becomes 'the mainstream media', no matter how small, no matter how niche. 'Reality disagrees with me and anything that reminds me of that is part of some cabal.'
I just die laughing everytime someone complains about the "mainstream" media as if being "mainstream" somehow means "fringe."
"CNN, NBC, The Times, The Post, and everyone but InfoWars is conspiring together because they don't want to tell the TRUTH about Pizzagate."
If the answer is "No", then companies should be required to store my information encrypted so they cannot "scan, detect, recognize, use, modify, or share under any circumstance".
When you go to the supermarket, they track every single item you purchase. (You can opt out by not using your saver-card, but they still collect it.)
What part of that information belongs to the supermarket, and which part is yours?
Hey Blue Balls - One more challenge for you. Since you have claimed that "Reason" is a great site, how does the Libertarian notion of Enterprise jibe with your ridiculous opinions of corporations? How do we have free enterprise (or commerce) if you want to outlaw corporations?
Of nevermind, you'll just tell me to go to Reason and ask myself because you aren't smart enough to answer...
Researchers: ... Fine. Here's a program we threw together to prove that it's not a hypothetical, and is absolutely possible to kill using these devices. Also we showed it to the FDA.
Company: Oh, I guess we should as the Feds to arrest everyone. And sue for slander. Easier than fixing things!
Since I do engarge medical folks in my IT role, I would like to point out that the doctors want some sort of connectivity to monitor and adjust such a device. They feel it is important to maintain appropriate levels, whatever that means.
If we want to get sanity back, we must repeal the DMCA.
Although I can't argue with that my gut is telling me we have a real problem as Corporations keeping trying to pass more restrictive laws protecting imaginary property.
@ "Gary", who's actually astro-turfing by Timothy Geigner, aka "Dark Helmet": your tactic of simply reversing reality and claiming that I'M for corporations cannot work if my text is read.
I'm just going to jump in here and point out that Blue Balls always jumps in and cries about his made up rights, but when it comes down to it he always sides with big corporations over individuals if imaginary property is on the line.
You keep saying you hate corporations - but love donning the slave collar and begging for their instructions.
Cheers, mate. Enjoy your subservience to corporations.
Why a Kickstart? Because out of the box a Raspberry Pi isn't going to do that. You'd need a battery, and some minimal setup. And a nice box.
Should go home and fire up the printer...
Whether files are distributed over high-speed internet or nano-flash it's obvious that you can't simply legislate away sharing. It's human nature to curate and share with your friends.
It's corporate nature to take things away and sell it back via copyright.
When I make a copy - then we have more music, more stories. When a corporation forces an archive to be deleted we have less.
How long before someone on Kickstarter hooks that 1 TB flash card to a short range wireless and creates a mesh internet that will spread new files to everyone within range?
Considering how you feel about corporate control of speech (you hate it) and copyright maximalism (you love it), how do you feel about corporations using copyright law to silence legally protected speech?
I think his postings speak for themselves. Blue Balls loves to whine about how Mike does it wrong - but he doesn't feel like putting forth the effort to do a better job. So he loves Corporations more than Free Speech.

Hower not seeing what that has to do with the IP monopoly in the article, and how the patent-lock in allows drug manufacturers to jack up the prices on drugs with no fear of competition.
Drug prices which are only going up now that the patent holders see how well it's working (for them) every time they do it.

Imaginary
And don't forget that you can't copyright a dress. You can trademark your logo but I doubt there are any logos involved in this at all.
So it's not even a valid copyright. Imaginary Property is so hard to hold onto....

Yup, the keyword is "Idiot who didn't read the link."

If Marvel stole the pose - then Radix wouldn't have it anymore, right? Do you ever read before commenting?

More copyright will just serve to chill free speech, expression and creativity.
