Listen, the prosecutor has complete leeway on what he chooses to prosecute, and he chose to prosecute this. So what if, and I don't think it's a very big "if", this dude went to trial and was convicted? You can be certain that he would have been on the Sex Offender list then. I absolutely don't blame him for not rolling those dice.
No no, you misunderstand. "Piracy", the concept that someone might get something for nothing, it burns their little capitalist souls. Anytime someone is entertained, money must change hands, otherwise a crime has been committed.
Re: Re: Re: "It's not that consumers don't get that media piracy is wrong"
Mmm, wouldn't whatever he hit after jumping out the window be considered public property? And wouldn't a 40 floor drop build up considerable force? I'm pretty sure Fergee was going to damage some public property either way.
I see. So in your mind, the word "suggests" is the same as the word "predicts". In my mind, those two words have very different meanings, especially in the current context. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
"""Quote: It's accurately suggesting results based on what users are searching.
...So it is inaccurate to state that google accuratley predicts that what people search."""
Perhaps I'm missing something. Please point out where anyone said that Google is predicting what people will search on?
However I hope that you're not trying to suggest that Google doesn't "accuratley" know what people *are* searching on when they use Google, because I don't want my brain to 'splode this early in the day.
Actually, I disagree with you on point 4. If something is "treatable" with hundreds of thousands (or lord forbid, millions) of dollars of tests and medications, is that really treatable? I submit that realistically, it is not. And yes, I'll put my money where my mouth is: to me, that applies to myself and all of my family.
Even worse is when all of that money only buys a person a few more months of life, often enough in constant pain. When did we get so foolish and selfish that we think that this is a good idea?
Sorry, but I agree with your teacher here. Showing your work is often more important than the actual answer, that way your teacher knows if you understand the concept and how to reach the answer. My best teachers would give you more than half credit if you used the correct process but gave a wrong answer due to a silly addition or subtraction error.
Well, it's really just a natural extension of estimation. I also "taught" myself the second method, but more often than not, unless an exact answer was required, I would just round upward or downward appropriately to give myself a "close enough" answer.

"""The movie posters themselves are in the public domain. In theory, you could reproduce the posters as a whole and not have issues (but I am not a lawyer).
However, the movie itself is still copyright. The characters and such that are part of that movie are part of that copyright, as are the actual images of those characters, as used in the movie (because they are part of the movie).
Extracting images from the poster and saying "they are from the poster" doesn't negate the fact that the characters and their images are covered as part of the movie.
If the t-shirts had a reproduction of the entire movie poster, it isn't clear there would be a lawsuit (but there might be still). However, extracting the exact likeness of the characters and using them outside of the context of the poster is pretty much begging for problems."""
