Hmm, the point is that the issue in your example almost certainly is the woman's mental state and not the game. Her "addiction" is a symptom of HER, not the game....
"They're partnering with MLB Advanced Media to handle the streaming end, so I would expect similar quality to whatever you get watching baseball games online."
I subscribe to the MLB.TV package and I can tell you that the streaming quality has ALWAYS impressed me. No, I don't think it's in 1080, but the streams are reliable and in HD. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw 1080 coming down the line when higher speed internet becomes more ubiquitous. Remember, tons of baseball fans using that service live in places where high speed internets aren't a thing....
Not sure if this mobile check in from my honeymoon in saint Lucia is recorded in next years numbers, but big drunken ups to our awesome community! Love all you guys!
Well, I'm here commenting, so I guess not. I don't think the site posts stories on Christmas, however, given Mike's devout observance of Christian dogma....
Re: Where you write "masochism", you surely meant "sadism".
"Where you write "masochism", you surely meant "sadism".
The exact opposite. Easy mistake to make when drunk."
Totally correct. And, while it so happened this was a rare time when I was NOT drunk, thanks for being such a decent guy about it Blue. Merry Christmas to you and everyone else.
"How much more absurd does it get than this? Disagreeing with someone's sexual practices makes someone a bigot, going by your retarded logic."
Disagreeing with and calling something a sin are two very different things, my friend. I can disagree with you for liking waffles. But the moment I say that anyone who inherently enjoys waffles is deficient in the eyes of almighty God, I'm a bigot. Savvy?
"He gets to determine what's moral and what isn't."
That's your belief, but even YOU don't believe he gets to make up the definition of words. If God believes judging an entire inherent class of people is The Way, that's fine, but it doesn't make judging an entire inherent class of people NOT bigotry.
"We'll see how pompous you are when you're standing before Him."
Hold on, let me see if I have this right. YOU claim to know the mind and will of an almighty creator for which you have no earthly proof.....and I'M the one who is pompous? Whoo boy, you are too far gone....
"The Catholic Church does not allow for men to marry several woman."
Well, technically the New Testament only forbids polygamy by Church leaders, but you're generally correct. That has more to do with Roman law than any Catholic teaching in the bible, however.
"Society decided that marriage is between a man and a woman."
What society? As I said, that isn't uniform amongst all of Earth's societies, today or in the past. This is a meaningless statement.
"Just because a bunch of socialist liberal activists hijacked the government/state and took it upon themselves to redefine marriage without public approval doesn't suddenly mean that we're going to change our morals to suit their immoral view."
You don't have to. Nobody is asking you to. What you believe and worship in your religion is your business, but you don't get to apply your religion to the secular government. That isn't my rule, and I dare say Thomas Jefferson probably wasn't a socialist when he made it the rule of the land.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: It is complicated...
"No matter how much you try to deny it, it's hard fact that engaging in homosex poses serious health risks."
That is blatantly incorrect, as I've pointed out to you in the past. The reality is that the most significant health risks of sex are between two males. The LEAST significant health risk of sex is between two females. Heterosexual couples are right in the middle, as you'd expect since this is all a matter of the physics of how these groups have sex.
I don't know much about your God, but I sure hope he punishes you for being a lying, bigoted asshole....
"Why do you slap the bigot label on the photographer for adhering to her beliefs?"
For the simple and obvious reason that something being a religious belief does not disqualify it from being bigoted. It may be that you are right and God is a bigot, but that he is God does not make him NOT a bigot. Pretty simple really....
"Either there's a valid, logical reason that marriage has been recognized as between a man and a woman for thousands of years"
...or that recognition is pure fantasy on your end, since different societies have had different views on homosexuality, marriage, and promiscuity going back those thousands of years. Even the Judeo-Christian faith didn't see marriage as "one man, one woman" for most of its history, it was more like "one man, and how ever many women he wants". Sort of puts a damper on your fake traditional marriage stint, huh?
"I've often with out any sort of proof speculated that Obama and the NSA have a deal. His support for them in exchange for no exposure on his birth certificate. No I'm not really a birther but I would call note to the fact that by the sheerest of coincidence, the woman that signed and released Obama's supposed birth certificate died in a plane crash last week I think it was."
You're a crazy person.
"I have no idea if this hit the national news as I don't tend to watch the propaganda machines anymore."
Yeah, it did, but nobody cared because it's a non-issue. There are plenty of reasons to think Obama is unfit for the office. Where he was born isn't one of them. That's just a boondoggle for people who don't want him in the office for other reasons. It's also a silly part of our governmental law to limit the intelligence of the person in office by where his or her parents copulated.
"Funny how no crowing in the national news happened over that one."
That was actually covered by most of the media outlets, which you again wouldn't realize because you don't watch them, which leads me to wonder why you made the statement to begin with.
Re: Oh, Timmy! You're just hoping for your own chance to cash in.
I seriously have no idea what you're talking about, but this string of words you've put together is pretty entertaining. That said, I sadly don't believe this is the real Blue....
Re: Timmy, you're oblivious to violence being reviled:
Er, that was the author of the game saying those things, not me. Do you, and I guess I shouldn't be surprised I have to ask this question, not know what a block quote is?
Re: FIrst paragraph failed to gin up ad hom. No one even knows who Krugman is, Mike.
What the fuck are you talking about? If you have any mild interest in national politics, Paul Krugman is ALL OVER THE PLACE. Way to prove you're just an uninformed misanthrope, dolt....
Hey, thanks John. That's hella nice of you. I only wish you hadn't included that Aurora Chronicles piece of shit I self published when I was in my early 20's. Blech. It's a horrible story with horrible writing and edited about as well as an 8 year old's letter to Santa. Typos galore....
"So Timothy, when do we get a copy of the full gospel? I am waiting to read it, and am wondering how you will make the begat parts funny. And no, no sarcastic troll face. I think you could make it funny."
Actually, I recently started this, writing a modern day gospel in which everyone is completely loony, it's written in a sort of Monty Python-esque vogue, and the modern day Jesus Christ, who is named Bob, has no idea why everyone around him is acting so insane....
