She got elected because the western part of Colorado that is her district is very, very conservative. Colorado is a purple turning (perhaps turned) blue state because of the Denver-Boulder-Ft. Collins area. Everything else is very red.
But let me finish with just one question: Why in Gawd's name would anyone want to feed any kind of troll????
Back in the before times, if I remember correctly comments couldn't be downvoted into oblivion, so it made sense to rebut them for the benefit of anyone else reading. Now that they can be hidden, I agree it would be better to just flag them and move on. Any curious reader will at least have an indication that the community has decided the comment is without merit. Alas and alack, the urge to reply is just too strong. I admit I do the same, but only if others are already replying and it's too late to leave it ignored.
The issue is the Apple store is the only way for a typical consumer to find and install third-party apps.
The question is, how hard must it be to get around the walled garden for it to be an anti-trust issue? On Android it's a matter of a few clicks in the settings. On iOS I understand it's considerably more difficult.
The standard of RSS and the lack of insights about performance make it difficult for creators to find realistic paths to securing advertisers for their podcasts.
Then why does every podcast have ads in it? Seems like they're finding paths to secure advertisers just fine.
He's a liar; he has no principles; at best he has no problem with racism. But I don't think he's stupid. Which is perhaps even worse: both evil and smart.
I didn't mean why does anyone care about the story; the story is interesting. I mean why do so many people care so much whether the McDonald's ice cream machine is broken?
Maybe unanswerable. Why do so many people care so much? If you're just going there for dessert, go to Dairy Queen instead. Their equipment always works, and they have more variety. Is the combination of mediocre food and a Blizzard/McFlurry like dessert unique to McDonald's (I know there are some Dairy Queens with lunch type food but not as good selection as McD's)? Anyway, quick tip if they're in your area, Good Times has better burgers, and frozen custard.
If no: “Joking” about prison rape isn’t all that funny.
If yes: Your desire for vengeance via forced sodomy for the sake of humiliation and revenge isn’t justice in any way, shape, or form.
There are three counts, but Chauvin will only be sentenced for the most serious charge: second-degree unintentional murder.
In case anyone else is wondering what that is about:
"Chauvin will only be sentenced on the second-degree murder charge because, per state law, if a defendant is convicted of two or more felony offenses from the same incident, the defendant is punished for the “most serious” of the offenses."

Where does this distinction come from, other than your head? Is there a statute? A court case? A philosophical treatise? Anything you can point us to?

I would be on board with your idea, but of course commenters don't have any authority to set policy. Which is good.

Interestingly the Mythbusters tried both of those techniques. I don't remember how they turned out though.
