either [Morrissey is] a sellout to the CCP and would say anything for money, or would happily condemn people to torture, rape, sterilization and supports genocide
I don't think those options are mutually exclusive.
I'll address things which I have yet to see in the comments or the article itself…
Morrissey's whole deal is that he's a whiny woe-is-me, why-won't-anybody-love-me? sourpuss. If you listen to the lyrics to his song "How Soon is Now?" that he did when he was in the Smiths, it all becomes clear. I haven't listened to his other stuff, but from what I gather telling by other people who have listened to his other material, that morose egotism is emblematic of Morrissey's personality.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 made fun of him in the early 90's and even mentioned him by name (the episode in question is called "City Limits"). Apparently Morrissey hadn't seen it because I have no doubt that he would have found it an even bigger offense and it came out decades earlier than the Simpsons episode.
Somehow, it makes perfect sense that the Dersh filed this. I could see why, seeing as Rudy Giuliani is also a separate defendant and can't be counsel to another party in a different lawsuit if that's the case (or am I wrong?)…
Who'se doing the legal legwork here? Are these legal briefs pro se? A three-ring circus may be a more appropriate place for this clownery than a courtroom…
All of that is exactly why I gave up on watching political satire until after Joe Biden was sworn in. Now watching John Oliver is fun again and doesn't feel like we're in a script written by William Shakespeare and Mel Brooks.
The funny thing about that quote of his is if you take out the bullhorns(because they're certainly not dogwhistles) and swap out 'Big Tech' for 'telecom' then he might actually have had a point, as they are coddled by politicians and do use their power to squash competitors to keep their position, but funnily enough the politicians screaming about how much power the likes of Facebook and Google have tend to utter nary a peep when it comes to Comcast and AT&T.
Not to mention that the same principle applies to big telecom and media giants as well as tech giants like Google, Apple, and Facebook: remember when Trump blocked a CNN/AT&T merger because he didn't like CNN? Same principle applies. It automatically makes the good thing more suspect and lawsuit-prone because of the retaliatory public statements made about it.

What country do you live in? If it's in the US, it's probably on Hulu. After the season is finished, it'll be on Disney+.
Outside the US, I don't know where, but there's always a way on the internet…

This is bipartisanship used to do good things. Kinda like how §230 came to be in the 1990's (which then-Rep. Ron Wyden also wrote).

If Matt and Trey skewer Morrissey, I certainly will watch a South Park episode for the first time since the one about Edward Snowden.

Um, people who advocated and participated in an insurrection of the legislative chamber of the US Government is not a mere "disagreement".
