There are automated call blockers you can get. I see at least one comes with a pre-programmed list of calls to block. I think it would really have to be dynamic though to keep up with the spam callers. If you're getting hit by them alot it might be worth getting. I hear just by responding with a dead line that it decreases the number of calls.
But I totally agree with the thrust of the article. It's absurd with today's communication tech that it can be rendered virtually unusable by greedy jerks. And if the financial industry thinks they're getting a benefit from excessive calling, they're some of the ones who's calls I'm not taking.
"What Twitter is attempting to do with its motion to quash is diminish the rights of copyright holders by forcing them to navigate the court system..."
Forcing trolls to actually go to court to get what they want?? How could Twitter be so unreasonable!!
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if McCall was hoping Trader Joe's would sue. Given their past litigious history it's just like waving a red flag in front of a bull. Nothing like the Streisand Effect to get free publicity and boost sales!
Given how vague this law seems to be wouldn't it be possibly to sue the Governor or one of the legislators who voted for it? Just for something as simple as referring to Planned Parenthood as an abortion provider! After all that could be considered abetting abortions since it's telling women were to go to get one.
At 10K per abortion it should handsomely pay for the cost of suing the creeps. Let the politicians bear the cost of having to defend themselves against their stupidly unconstitutional law all the way to the Supreme Court!
