    Doh

Pilots are not the problem. Terrorists dressed like pilots are the problem.
If we have the technology to distinguish between the two why not apply it to regular passengers as well?
We don't have it, and so we don't do it.
However, in true TSA spirit this should only be a problem after an attack has been tried with this method. So I suggest that we don't do security checks on pilots - at least not until a plane gets blown up by a terrorist who smuggled his bombs through security by dressing up as a pilot. THEN we start checking pilots. Makes much more sense that way.

Damned if you do... (as Bart W.)

So, now what if I advertise counterfeit Louis Vuiton bags? According to the French government Google would be responsible for that (see eBay) but at the same time they're not allowed to refuse those advertisements either?

    Damages

Too bad for Larrikan they're not in the US. What's according to the RIAA a reasonable rate for infringement? $50,000 per copy or something along those lines?

    Insurance companies can blame themselves...

Given the habit of IC's to screw customers over (State Farms "hurricane insurance" in Louisiana comes to mind) this is easy to understand.

I'm sure that driving safe and under the speed limit all year round will lower your rates with about $5 annually, and at the same time they'll use it as an excuse to jack up your rates with $150 when you're going over the speed limit once with 5mph.

Now, that might not really be the case, but probably the way everyone feels - and the reason nobody signs up.

    Ask RIAA to contact me

I'm willing to be their showcase customer! I don't do file sharing. At all. So that must make me their favorite customer! They must love me, right? The reason I don't do file sharing is that I don't care too much about todays music. Come to think of it, haven't bought CD's in ages, either. There's not really anything worth buying out there. And if there were, I wouldn't know about it. I'm only listening to my old cd's. But that doesn't matter, because people who don't do file sharing are their perfect customers, right?
