They should immediately pass this law and then take the feds to federal court if they try to say that this makes people 'less safe' by pointing out that the security theater that they are doing at the airports has NEVER stopped anyone from attacking a plane or getting on board a plane with contraband items./div>
The best thing that we could do is to GET RID of patents on anything but an actual complete product and copyrights on an actual complete product as well.
I.E. Windows 7 would be able to have a patent and copyright on it, but NOT on any .dll's, etc. in it./div>
Correction: they just don't want to pay the extreme amounts that these companies wish to charge for their products and services now that:
1. A physical medium is not necessary.
2. There are no 'store shelf fees'.
3. It costs extremely little to 'ship' something to someone over the internet./div>
Which is why in the United States the Founding Fathers were intelligent enough to add a little thing to the Constitution called the Second Amendment and DIRECTLY condoned the overthrow of our government if the politicians and other government officials started overstepping their bounds.
The problem today is that the people have been gulled into thinking that raising arms against the Federal government is 'wrong' and 'that the Founding Fathers didn't want that'./div>
