I'm using Ubuntu Linux with home directory encryption. I'd probably just move my bootloader to a USB storage device. When I turned it on at the checkpoint, my screen would show the "no OS found" error, and I could claim complete ignorance.
What about hard drive crypto? Perhaps in the not so distant future, I'll cross and international border, and will be arrested for copyright infringement, because the fact that I won't give them the password to my encrypted drive obviously means that I am a "pirate."
