  Newsflash.. nobody is buying CD's anymore. Although spotify isn't perfect it does allow for massive exposure and royalties. Tune in next week when Century Media re-releases their greatest hits on 8 track.

  Simple solution, get a good lawyer and don't sign a bad deal. Or if your band is worth a damn, do it yourself and keep 100% of the profits. There are tons of bands out there that nobody has heard of that are making a good living. I have a lot of friends that have been scammed by labels.. not fun.

  What a joke, if these sites are crooked, why take the players $$? Why don't the feds focus on real crooks like Sir Allen Stanford and Madoff?
