Companies refuse to make good decisions.

Because AI moderation works SO good for youtube, twitter, google, facebook, etc / sarcasm

Not to mention that users have already figured out how to work around AI mods. For example some youtube channels ban the word sex so we use an alternative for example "bed time fun", "slimy/wet snuggle", "adult cuddling", "child free service", etc. There are so many ways to use obfuscation language that you simply can't moderate with an AI currently. It's also hard to figure out if the meaning is literal or suggestive like the examples above which is something no AI can do yet and is hard to achieve with good accuracy. Also AI don't understand context at all which is why so many comments/posts get removed by mistake. Youtube videos get flagged and removed because covid is mentioned or the text is displayed. It doesn't understand the video is reporting news about it. There are so many examples of getting flagged incorrectly and there is no way to get hold of a human to correct it so the only recourse is to have multiple accounts and in so doing violate site rules. These sites force you into violating the multi-account rule. Sites shooting themselves in both feet just to be thorough. And so many ways to avoid getting detected of using multiple accounts.

We the victims (users) of these abusive behaviors like AI mods without human oversight unless you're "important" like to share these tricks with each other. "Sharing is caring". Internet was made to share knowledge.

    Revolting app.

If I was forced to use an app like this it would not survive very long.
Thankfully an app like this one is illegal here.
Wouldn't be too hard to completely disable the app using various ways for instance ddos and advanced methods like protocol poisoning. I have a good feeling in my gut about the app will not see that coming. These sort of apps have zero security. Repeat for a few months and voila you can park a car without an app again and the app creator being sued to oblivion because the app doesn't work and people want the creator to pay the parking tickets they have gotten.

On top of that publish a detailed report of the reverse engineering discoveries for instance in detail what it collects of the users. To really put the fear into the users and the app owners as well which will cause the complaints to roll in tsunami style. People tend to be too naive when it comes to these apps so educating them is the best thing you can do.

Other ways to protect yourself. Some android versions have a sandbox feature or sandbox app so you can put each app in its own sandbox and feed it fake data since some apps will refuse to work when it notices you have zero contacts like the facebook app.

    Stay safe.

    Re: New defense?

Cops get too much trust. All people lie hence cops do so as often if not more so due to incentives like promotions and circle jerking. Cops have certain personality types, think bullies. These types are more likely to lie and abuse the power their job gives them. Which is also why they protect and lie for each other. So they themselves will be saved when they commit a crime and they will eventually commit a crime. "One hand washes another".

I'm surprised the sexual predator got arrested. Cops have pressured women into sex since its beginning. The investigation did take a long time though. Did other cops hear about it and wanted in on the action so they delayed investigation?

    Re:

Taking pictures of an detainee is nothing when you look at other cases of criminal behavior and violation of basic human rights.

Cops take pictures of women during a strip search too. Those that don't take pictures just stands and ogle since the women private parts are in full view of those that stand in the doorway. No, they don't close the door to protect the privacy of the women. Some don't even use lube and gloves.

There's a case where a woman is left naked in a very cold cell and she didn't get any tampon so she was sitting on the cold floor bleeding and freezing. And this is not a rare case. It happens often.

Women are also groped during a body search.

My point is cops commit a lot of crimes against citizens and the lawsuits go nowhere because of qualified immunity.

    Re:

Only criminals will be that stupid to shoot at trigger happy cops in full gear. The one statistic we can trust, that most criminals are stupid.
Cops are humans too. They need to eat, sleep, socialize, shop for groceries, etc. There are so many attack vectors to pick from that are much better, have a high success rate and can bring the living fear in cops and their families. A team of 5 to 20 people could do so much damage in a short period of time when lead and trained correctly. So it's very good that most criminals are stupid.

This article points out how vulnerable single point failures are. Such as a central place to get updates. A solution for open source at least is the source code is shared to many trusted sources and they compile it and if one of them is not the same as the other ones the update app on the phone will refuse to download it. Distributed update verification. The only single point of failure will be the source code itself and since it's public and many talented people keep an eye on the source code changes. It would be very difficult to add something malicious to it without getting detected.

I have seen some groups have a no change rule for critical software. As in auto updates are forbidden. You compile from verified good source code. Test it to the max then everyone use it and it stays static. Compartmentalization and independent cells are also commonly used. Staying safe is an exhausting process of always keeping up to date on the latest OPSEC. It's the classic cat and mouse game. I've seen some promising work using neural nets in encryption software. For instance neural net starts off with certain goals in mind and is locked to a specific group of people. They neural net in that group evolves in a unique way so each group have a unique encryption protocol that keeps on changing within that group. Much harder to hit a moving target that keeps on changing form.
Another way I've seen is using a special torrent client that use a random chosen file and that file is used to communicate and the file changes from for example one movie to another movie that is currently popular. It looks a normal torrent swarm sharing a files.
Those aren't even the sneaky and very clever ways I've seen. I bet some of these clever people could cure cancer if they wanted to.

This is Fing infuriating! Let me vent and leave me alone.

Wonder if the favorite hanging tree of the people in that city used to use to give out punishment when the law refuse to is still alive?
Sooner or later the people will have had enough and put all cops on the hunting list. If I remember correctly two cops were shot in their car not so long ago. That's only the start.
Imagine the neighborhood torching a cop's home and no one will say they didn't see or hear anything while their jacket still smelled of smoke. That would be such wonderful old age justice. Since the cops don't protect the people, only protect themselves, why should the people protect the cops? In my eyes the cops don't do their job and lost their usefulness. Most people will know by now to never call the cops because someone will end up dead or seriously beaten up. Like a couple celebrating in a hotel. If this video doesn't make you fumingly angry there's something wrong with you!

Why is no one in the comments pointing out the obvious?! Those cops violating a child is a possible pedophile. Those cops should be investigated for a pattern to get their hands on children to molest.

Are you claiming people pay to see sexually explicit images?! I've never paid for such content if you exclude the divorce cost.

    Re:

If you're really that paranoid, which you rightfully should be, than there's a laser gun that detects cameras and shoot a strong laser at the camera sensor chip, destroying it in the progress. It's fully automated and can be put on a roof or on tactical positions to cover your whole property. Have to mention they can get confused by eyes and shoot at eyes too if you mess with the default settings.
The fun thing is the default settings also targets pilots eyes in helicopters. Not sure why though but I'm sure there's a legitimate reason behind it. Police always try to bend the rules and lie when they break them. I'm sure it have something to do with that.
For drones specifically you can set up frequency jammers. Drones fly in to your property but they don't fly out unless the drone have go-to-home when signal lost function but you can prevent that too by blocking GPS too.
So technology do exist to protect yourself. You just need to get off your lazy ass and install it.
You can make the frequency jammer smart too by only activating the jamming when the drone is inside the jamming range which will make it too late for the drone operator to turn back. I've got a fine collection of drones. Even without the controller they sell for good money. If the drone operator even tries to step a foot onto my property I have a shotgun loaded and ready. Non-lethal. That's enough to get them to back off.
